Just finished The Rosie Result by Graeme Simsion. It was a timely read for me, as I have been thinking quite a lot lately about societies need to group and label people.
★★★★
Cannot recommend this book highly enough to anyone interested in psychology:The Talking Cure: Normal people, their hidden struggles and the life-changing power of therapy by Gillian Straker and Jacqui Winship

My review of 'Quartered Safe Out Here' by George MacDonald Fraser (best known for the 'Flashman' novels).

Here's my review for Devil's Lair by AA Sarah Barrie. Although it shares characters with Bloodtree River, I think it works just fine as a standalone.

My 4 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
A domestic family drama of persistence, resilience, and unexpected twists.
Rules of Civility, (this book, not the rules!) was very popular when it came out in 2011, and I can see why. Amor Towles shows us NYC high and low society in 1938. A good read!

While Going Under is fiction, it's written by Aussie doctor and author, Sonia Henry, so we know it's drawn from real life. It's witty and funny, and while it didn't apply to my discipline, as a former employee of a NSW area health service who has worked in a large public teaching hospital, I have every confidence that the situation she depicts is entirely accurate. Which should scare us all. Thanks to Allen & Unwin and Better Reading Preview

WooHoo just crossed off a book languishing in my i-books for a while. It makes me want to smile and keeps me busy while waiting for July 1st readings.I nearly tossed this one, but after trying 2 others and not liking them, I plowed on and in the end, the book grabbed me. 12 Days at Silverbells House turned out to be quite a cosy read. It reminded me of the small town I call home, but I think Swallows falls has more residents, and I might be blind, or too old, I don't see any hunks roaming around here. Not knowing how to give three and a half stars, I ended up giving it four stars.

Just read Rules of Civility by Amor Towles, and learned how the young and beautiful gate-crashed the rich and famous in 1938. I bet it still works!

Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for my first Nicole Trope novel, The Boy in the Photo. While the plot twists may have been predictable, Trope's strength is in portraying her characters' emotions. Thought-provoking.4.5★s

Quite a few people that share similar tastes to me rated this book highly but I gave it 2.5 stars. I found the main character super annoying and the overuse of the word narcissism was too much.
