This is my very recent review of Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly

And I have to say, I highly recommend it as it's one of those books that is full of suspense and I couldn't put it down for a single minute.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments I loved the first book I read by Aussie author, Barbara Toner, Four Respectable Ladies Seek Part-time Husband, so I was really pleased to find there was a sequel, Four Respectable Ladies Seek The Meaning Of Wife, which was as good, if not better.
There are spoilers for #1 in #2, though, so read them in order.
5 big ★s from me, and I would welcome more of the Four Respectable Ladies (just sayin')

Jeanette | 400 comments Alice to Prague by Tanya Heaslip

2 stars
I have read books by authors who have had to self publish that would leave this book for dead. I'm afraid for me it leaves a lot of doubt re the selection process by Publishers.

MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) | 934 comments Due to many other commitments, I've had very little time for reading so far in 2019. Having some time off over Easter, I opted for a fairly easy read - a juicy murder mystery. I was not disappointed.
The Word Is Murder by Anthony Horowitz For me The Word Is Murder by Anthony Horowitz was a 4.5 star read.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments As long as you don’t mind connections between characters being just a tiny bit contrived (à la Kate Morton), then Aussie author Natasha Lester’s fifth novel, The French Photographer is a 5★ read.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments Before I'd finished reading 55, the debut novel by James Delargy, I saw some 3★ and some 5★ ratings from my GoodReads friends, so I figured this one might polarise readers a little. For me, a promising start that didn't quite deliver, so 4★s
