I loved the first book I read by Aussie author, Barbara Toner, Four Respectable Ladies Seek Part-time Husband, so I was really pleased to find there was a sequel, Four Respectable Ladies Seek The Meaning Of Wife, which was as good, if not better. There are spoilers for #1 in #2, though, so read them in order.
5 big ★s from me, and I would welcome more of the Four Respectable Ladies (just sayin')

I have read books by authors who have had to self publish that would leave this book for dead. I'm afraid for me it leaves a lot of doubt re the selection process by Publishers.

Won't read your review yet Jeanette as I have this book here to read.
Due to many other commitments, I've had very little time for reading so far in 2019. Having some time off over Easter, I opted for a fairly easy read - a juicy murder mystery. I was not disappointed.
For me The Word Is Murder by Anthony Horowitz was a 4.5 star read.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
A quick, satisfying read to begin a new series, The Hunter by Chris Carter

3.5 stars for *chick lit/contemporary*
How To Keep A Secret by Sarah Morgan. This would make a good holiday read for those that enjoy family drama/secrets :)

A fun kids adventure novel, here's my review of Kidnap in the Caribbean by Lauren St. John

As long as you don’t mind connections between characters being just a tiny bit contrived (à la Kate Morton), then Aussie author Natasha Lester’s fifth novel, The French Photographer is a 5★ read.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Today I finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer, which was a rather pleasant surprise!

Small Blessings by Aussie Author Emily Brewin.I can see why other people found this book so moving but for me I found it was pretty average...

Before I'd finished reading 55, the debut novel by James Delargy, I saw some 3★ and some 5★ ratings from my GoodReads friends, so I figured this one might polarise readers a little. For me, a promising start that didn't quite deliver, so 4★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

And I have to say, I highly recommend it as it's one of those books that is full of suspense and I couldn't put it down for a single minute.
