I'm in again for the 4 basics (author, title, characters & locations). I have discovered that if I post each challenge separately then I can add the book covers to the same post. in 2018 I also participated in the Goodreads Challenge, and since I only read on Kindle, Goodreads actually tracked my total reading fairly well.

I just love seeing all of the pretty covers displayed in one place. I try to keep up on my yearly book lists, but sadly Goodreads doesn't list my audio books.

I'll try to do the bookcovers. I can't do any challenges because as soon as I HAVE TO read a certain book I usually develop an inexplicable inner resistance to reading it, I am kind of perverse that way...

Monadh, I don't read for the challenge. I just fill it in with whatever I happen to be reading. (That's probably why I rarely finish one.)

I don't read for the challenge either. I just fill in what I can and run with it. If I am close I will look through my books or favorite authors and fill in the blanks if I can. We've been doing this challenge for 5 or 6 years and I have only completed 2. You set the rules, it's all for fun.

I've never done this but it sounds like fun, don't expect to fill up any of them as I am with Monadh, if I feel any pressure to read a book, it doesn't happen. I'll try titles and authors. Now if I only remember to update this post .....

Don't worry, I try to post reminders to fill in our challenges. We hardly ever finish, you'll go like crazy in the beginning of the year filling in with everything you read then as the year winds down you either forget about your categories or you have all of the letters filled by previous books. It's not a big deal. It's just for fun.

I love the beginning of the year, when every book fills multiple categories! Plus I decided to do a relisten to Thea Harrison's Moonshadow series (relisten to the first two before reading the third) and there are so many species!

I know that some of you said that you can't "read for the list" but I find that it helps me choose something when I can't decide just what I want to read next. I'm especially having a hard time since FictFact closed down. I need a new way to manage my "Next Book List".

Diane... I do admit that I do pick a novel on the basis of whatever criteria it fits. Sometimes I get a really pleasant surprise and another author to read.

I have been really awful at filling in my categories for the last 2 months. I have too many things going on in real life to take the time. Vacation is coming up soon, I hope to catch up a bit then.

I'm just glad that I'm doing the book covers again. It's nice to be able to keep track of the books I've read, even if most of them don't add to my categories.

Just a reminder to fill in the blanks. My biggest problem is that the KU books that I read sometimes fall through the cracks. I generally look at my kindle or my phone, (for audio), to catch up on my lists. I should be more responsible and fill in the blanks as soon as I finish a book. Maybe I'll do better next year. ;-)

Since I don't read for this challenge, I doubt I'll add anything other than more book covers between now and the end of the month. But, who knows—I might happen upon a Z location or a U character between now and then.

I do really like doing to book covers, since I always get to add those, even if the book doesn't work in any of the other slots. And maybe next year I'll finish something besides species.

I just thought of a new category I'm going to add for next year: narrators! I do so many books on audio. Also, it will help me keep track of which narrators I like and which I don't.

On the bright side, I didn't get Boundary Haunted finished today, so I'll start the 2020 list with it.
