Review: While the pacing was a bit off and I felt slightly lost in terms of the world building/mythology, I'm happy to return to this series. Ian was a fantastic, tortured hero who hides behind flirtation and charm. And I loved Daisy's unabashed appreciation of him.

Review: I liked this installment in the Royally series better than the first. Henry and Sarah are just hopelessly in loved with one another. While the last quarter of the book felt rushed, I was won over by how books played an integral role in Sarah's life and how hard Henry worked to become a better version of himself.

Review: Sophomore books are tough and I was worried the author wouldn't be able to match my love for her debut, The Kiss Quotient. I was wrong. This is such a tender Cinderella story and you can't help but root for the heroine the whole way through. Now Quan just needs to get his book, finally, dammit!

Review: I was iffy on this one because, while I love the series, this has a couple tropes that aren't my favorite. However, it was still a solid addition despite not being my catnip. Winston is so supportive of his ass-kicking wife and I really appreciated that he didn't try to coddle her from danger. He knows she can handle herself, and I loved that about him.

Review: Holy wow. I really loved this one and I definitely recommend it for anyone who loves Beauty and the Beast inspired books and/or slow burn romances. Both the hero and heroine felt mature and I so enjoyed seeing them grow as people, as they adjust to the decisions they've made in life: Gabriel with his injury and Samantha with her mistakes from the past.

If this weren't for it being my book club pick this month, I probably would have never picked it up because 1) historical romances aren't my favorite subgenre, 2) the plot was just too bonkers, and 3) I didn't have the energy to suspend my disbelief. At least it was quick.
