Let's get to know each other through this spell-it-out challenge, where you will read books to match letters spelling out word(s) about you.
Starts: Anytime
Ends: When you're done. You can choose to do ALL four word items, or choose only one or two, it's your challenge!
For matching the books to the letter, you can use the first word of the title of the book (excluding A, An, The), or the first or last initial of the author, or the first or last initial of a main character. (see example below). (Letter X is a tough one - so you can use a word anywhere in the title or in a series name, or on the book cover etc)
1. SPELL OUT where you live
- You can use any of town, city, country, attraction, or any defining word about where you live. (ie. London, Eiffel Tower, Canada, Taj Mahal, Lake Geneva, loft, farm, desert, schoolhouse, ranch, studio, downtown, etc)
2. SPELL OUT a favorite book, or author, or character, or genre
(ie. Harry Potter, Neil Gaiman, Pride and Prejudice, Science Fiction). -You can exclude articles like a, an, and, the, in, on, etc from the book titles
3. SPELL OUT a favorite activity, hobby, or food you like (other than reading)
(ie. travel, movies, cooking, playing soccer, volunteering, chocolate, fostering cats, coffee, etc)
4. SPELL OUT out any word that relates to you, or is meaningful to you in ANY way
(ie. rainbow, green, city living, love, hope, twins, new zealand, cactus, maple leaf, pi, giggle, laughter, sister, dream, diary, journal, audiobooks, friendship, 'pet's name', ) - limitless possibilities for this one :)
You can do this in ANY ORDER for the words/matching books. You can choose to do ALL four word items, or choose only one or two, it's your challenge!
Example:
S - Someday, Someday, Maybe
P - The Pillars of the Earth
R - The Lightening Thief, by Rick Riordian
I - Inferno
N - The Hidden Staircase , Nancy Drew (character)
G - Stardust by Neil Gaiman
