Thanks Brenda. Another great challenge with lots of room for mixing and matching genres and making us try something different :)
I studied All Quiet on the Western Front to death in Year 12, I don't think I could read it now, which is pretty much 16 years ago.

Yes there were lots of books like that in school, weren't there!

Brenda wrote: "Yes there were lots of books like that in school, weren't there!"Yeah, I think studying a book for two terms just sucks what joy the book held until there is nothing left. That may be a little melodramatic. :-)
Steve wrote: "I studied All Quiet on the Western Front to death in Year 12, I don't think I could read it now, which is pretty much 16 years ago."I hate it that some really good books get spoiled for you by being studied to death at school!
I think All Quiet on the Western Front was on our Y11 recommended reading list but I don't remember it at all so will try it again if I can't get into the non-fiction book.
Carolyn wrote: "I think All Quiet on the Western Front was on our Y11 recommended reading list but I don't remember it at all so will try it again if I can't get into the non-fiction book."It seems the storyline has been burnt into my brain from studying it, but I shall not spoil it. :-)

I noticed that as soon as I posted as well. I don't know what happened as the link was exactly the same and all I had to do was go in to edit my comment and then save it again and it all worked. Weird!

I just had a look at my Aussie Author Challenge list, and decided that I'm so far behind on that one that I'll have to pass on this one. Maybe next year.

I'm just wondering Brenda with people struggling with Wattle. ( I found it easy seeing I like crime novels ) But would the Author having their surname as Wattles and on the listed cover be too much of a stretch.

Really Heather? An author with a Wattle surname?? If you have found one of those, you can most certainly use it!! The criteria says: Choose a book with "Wattle" in the title or on the cover.. so most definitely covers it!! I'd love to know what it is:)
