I squirmed somewhat when I read Lolita, but I think it has one of the best openings I've ever read...with the tip of the tongue thing...

Linda of course you can join in! You're very welcome:) But I notice the book you've chosen for #2, New Release, isn't an Aussie author? At least from what I read about the author, it seems he's UK all the way... Excellent choices for the rest:)

I have finished my first 2 for this challenge - my yellow cover,
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen by Paul Torday and my TBR spring clean, Whatever You Do, Don't Run: My Adventures As A Botswana Safari Guide by Peter Allison - both wonderful books which I thoroughly enjoyed - 5 stars for both!
Finished my second for this challenge, from my TBR Adultery
. A very disappointing barely 2 star read.
Finished my first for the challenge 3 Blue Night Games: Sex, Power and Sport by Anna Krien - 3★An interesting read, especially as we are in the middle of the AFL finals again, my short review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Of course you're welcome - glad to have you here - some nice picks there.
Finished my first Wattle book Blood on the Wattle (3rd for the challenge). A book about the massacres of the Aborigines. If you are going to read this I advise breaking it up over a few days. Next on my reading list is The Enchanted (not a spring read just a library book) and my other 'wattle' book Silver Wattle Both I think very far genre wise from Blood on the Wattle

Fair enough:) Sometimes non fiction is a little like that...I can't imagine it would be you:)

I just started Silver Wattle and I can tell it is going to be heavy work for me. Something needs to happen soon because it is VERY long and so far very boring:(

Ah but it's the only wattle book I have to hand and only a week before I go overseas. I am a bit OCD about challenges:) Once committed I will grit my teeth and persevere.

I have just reserved my two from the library - Black Wattle Creek by Geoffrey McGeachin and The Wattle Tree by John Bell
If you could reserve the second one at your library it's a very quick (32 pages) children's book:)

That's what I thought when I was choosing Phrynne! I agonised over it, but I've read the other two main ones, your current read and Sally's, so put this one down. If I find something else I'll definitely read it! Now you've made me feel guilty!! LOL

Considering the volume you read, I reckon you're entitled to a 32 page read every now and again.
