Colonel Brandon Level 101- 199 Books
I decided to Colonel Brandon my goal this year. I read over 50 this year. This would be far more appropriate than Knightley.

120. The Remarkable Miss Darcy (reread – edits) will launch 3/21/19
I will admit that I shocked myself by reading #119. They start in bed but there's zero sex and the story of Darcy's reasons for buying a new pianoforte for his sister was rather funny. It left me with a grin.
There are two #107's because the first one isn't JAFF or the period. I'm hoping others will read the series. It's excellent.
Wow!! Great progress, Joy. You are certainly making a dent in that Century Club. **snicker** thanks for sharing your list.
Fantastic, Joy, you are pulling out in front - go, girl, go! I have to check out which I have not read.
Please read #101. It’s a one-shot about the youngest Darcy male. Thanks all. I’m actually cleaning up quite a few on my TBR pile. It feels good to finally get my money’s worth so that’s a win. Happy reading!
Joy, I do hope you're not neglecting your writing with all this reading you're doing! And it would be SO helpful if you could indicate what kind of star rating you'd give the books you read. I'd love to snag your 5-star ones and know to avoid stories that you'd rate only 1 or 2 stars.
I will do a re-read about little Jimmie Darcy -- I remember it from when it was posted. Such a charmer!
I have it marked to read but am reading a very long novel now: Second Son: A Pride and Prejudice Variation

I am neglecting my writing 100%. But I am having a ball reading.
Amazon’s Terms of Service clearly state that I can’t review other authors in my genre or I will be violating these terms. I wish I could but I’m not going to risk having my account suspended, which has happened to other authors I know (not in JAFF). Sorry!
Holy Smoly, Joy!
Look at you go. I love going over the list of your reads for books I want to try. You have me curious about Darcy and that pianoforte in Drunken Moments. :)

It’s a very short one-shot. I hope you see the humor.
Joy, Rose and Sheila - what a trio, leading the way for the rest of us. I hope to get to Delaford before some of you depart for Pemberley!Joy, I loved your No. 120!

Me too, Anji.
Wow, Joy, you're taking writing-avoidance to a whole new level! ;-) I wish I did half as much reading when I am avoiding my desk. Hope your reading has the effect of pumping up your enthusiasm for the beloved genre of JAFF!

109. A Floury Apron by Margaret Gale https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13189447... (A Floury Apron By: elag) “A light-hearted short story looking at what might have happened if Elizabeth had been sent to London while Lydia and Wickham were missing, and met Darcy there - an unexpected encounter and a little baking lead to a sweet resolution.” It has been published but still available for a short time on fanfiction. 4 stars Longbourn’s cook allows Elizabeth kitchen privileges when she notices Mrs. Bennet’s treatment of her second daughter. Elizabeth is sent to the Gardiners after Lydia’s elopement and she continues to treat the family with some of her baking. When Darcy shows up as he is helping Uncle Gardiner as in canon search for Wickham & Lydia he too enjoys those baking skills while discussing plans.

Abigail wrote: "I didn't mean to guilt you! But I'm glad you're feeling the creative juices flow. Wish it were contagious!"No guilt at all, Abigail. I needed to step back and see what is already out there. I’ve done a pretty thorough job of it so it’s time to get busy.

Goodness, 100 books to get through this level. Guess I'll be here for a while. :) I might have to make up some mid-level field trips as an incentive. Maybe 25 books is a trip to Bath, 50 is a trip to Lyme, 75 is a trip to the Lake District, and then Pemberley!
Well, Michelle, you certainly have a plan. Well done. The best way to plan for any journey is to take it in stages and steps. Go for it.

That is usually the case. I think I first read it as a WIP and then after it was published through NetGalley. I'll have to see if I still have that copy.

An eccentric rich woman gifts an impoverished aunt of Mr. Bennet’s with 100,000 pounds, on the condition that she leave the money to the five Bennet daughters at her death. It is a good story, but I was disappointed that the eccentric was never identified. A mystery unresolved.
