On the spreadsheet? That’s just the number of options we have for that letter so far. It just helps me for when I’m working out the best letter to assign a book to on our main spreadsheet

No problems :)
I should have mentioned that they are formulas and happen automatically - you don’t need to enter any info there 😀

Oh that's a shame. I (unexpectedly) enjoyed that one. :o
Looks like Chava and Tina have books with blood on the cover so I think we should be ok

Oh I want to read this book so badly. Please let me know if you enjoyed it, Lexi

I will have finished mine in the next 1-2 days.

Yes Eunice - I’ve read most of that series and his name is almost always referred to as O’Sullivan

I wasn't that into the point of view and how the story was told. I just couldn't get into it. I also do not enjoy reading that many political focused books.
I can read Warm Bodies if we get to the end of the week and still need blood on cover.

I enjoyed Feed, but I think just because it made sense to me how zombies work. Lots of people I recommended it to didn't like it as much though :)
I'm working on my "Blood as genre" book. I really tried last night but I fell asleep. It is just that kind of book :)
I understand Lexi. It is much more about media and politics than it is about zombies. Hopefully your next book is more enjoyable for you!
*waves* thanks for dropping by Kathleen
Welcome Alison Ann! Glad to have you 😃

I have to read Silver Borne this week for another challenge. It only has "blood in text" and a B author or D character.
I'll do better with my other choices. Would blood-series be acceptable for the genre? Or does it have to be just blood?

I have read through the whole thread, but quickly. Do you want us to add our own books to the tracking sheet or just post them here with all the options for spelling?

Oh and I love Mercy Thompson. I hope you enjoy that one!!
Allison Ann wrote: "Okay, I need to reread the rules clearly. But it sounds like we are good for the extra points, so I should focus on spelling BLOOD and longer books get more points if I remember correctly.

Yes, you got it!
Copying from another message here so it is easy for you :) The important points:
To post a read book, you have two options:
1. Just add to the tracking spreadsheet and let us know in the team thread. Or:
2. Post in the team thread and we can add it to the spreadsheet.
Either way, be sure to put your books on your Wheel shelf as well. That will let us double check and be sure we didn't miss anything.
Also, please check into the team thread at least weekly - even if you haven't read anything. This is a quick challenge and anyone we don't hear from at least weekly we will need to chase to check if you are still playing, or if we need to grab a replacement.

Week 2 spin results have been posted here and we have
Week 2 doesn't start for a while, but one of the teams had a member going on holidays so Sonia posted it quite early :)
I'm glad we have a longer word next week as it gives more options, and I had started reading a U book so I'll pause that until next week ;)
For "word as genre" category we are allowed to use "witch" and that should also be easier than blood!

--edit--- Witch is only for the genre (top shelves). We still need to have "cauldron" was the word in text, word in title/series and word on cover

I finished my first one for the challenge!
which is book 7 in the Aurora Teagarden series.
I really love Charlaine Harris' writing, but I'm yet to pick up a Sookie Stackhouse. I guess I'm worried about if it will meet my expectations compared to her other works. And True Blood just got so silly towards the end!!

That was my least favourite series of hers so far. Maybe when you are finished we can chat about it. There is a fairly controversial component to it ;)

I loved Harper Connelly until the terribly annoying "controversial component". :) Sookie (the character), I think, gets better as the series progresses. I like the Aurora Teagarden books. And Lily Bard is my favourite. Charlaine Harris' stand alone novels (early work) have been terrible however.

I remember having big discussions with Sonia when I was reading Harper as I could see it coming (from book 3 maybe? I can't remember) and I was so disappointed when it happened. Still makes me a bit mad. LOL
I like Lily too. Although I haven't finished that one. Only the first 3 books were available on audio from my library so then I hit a hitch and haven't gotten to book 4. I should just audible it. I'll finish Aurora first.
I agree her early books are not so good. Even the first Aurora book wasn't her best.... but it was also close to 30 years ago so I guess writers do change and develop their style!!
I think I will finish Aurora, then Midnight Texas (still need to read book 3), and then Lily.
Then I may be ready for Sookie
