Is that the trick? Nope. I just click that stupid button and I just think "why didn't someone else roll?"
I need some luck in rolling

Review: It's easy to tell why this story is a classic. Good dialogue, character growth, symbolism, adventure, good vs. evil, and a way of making us long for some magic in your own lives. I've read a few of the other books in this series, but I feel they don't quite measure up to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Review:
This was a re-read for me..but audiobook this time. This isn't a happy story. Throughout most of the story, MC Elijah is in an unhealthy...not really a relationship, rather a situation with Crane, rather than the hero? of the story Grady. The story does not have a HEA, but rather a HFN. I get the sense that Grady wants someone to love, wants someone to care for, wants a person in his life and has decided Elijah is it and that Elijah is not miserable with Grady. I'm not sure that Elijah actually knows what happiness is. It was well written. The narrator was good. But overall, this was a depressing story.

This was fun. Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies, Oh My!
Vicky is a demon slayer by profession. She enters the victim's dreams and vanquishes whatever type is plaguing them. She is also a shapeshifter. Three times a month she can shapeshift into anything. I like Julie, the zombie, though she is a teenager so she can be annoying. I loved that Vicky's vampire roommate is Juliet. THE Juliet. It's not all play though. We have fights for "Paranormal Americans" rights and of course the big bad Hellion demon that wants to destroy Boston. I look forward to the next book.

COMPLETION POST for Week 7, Roll 1, Spot 50

Book: Damnable Grace by Tillie Cole
Pages: 556
Qualification: Hades Hangmen#5
Read: 10/27
Rating & Review: ★★★
I liked this book but I didn't love it. Phebe has been mentioned in the prior book and its clear that she was ride or die for the Prophet. After all, she was trained to be a seductress since she was 10yrs old. After the Hangmen of Hades destroyed the Order of David, Phebe went from being the Head of the Sacred Sisters to now a drug addicted sex slave to Meister, leader of the Aryan Brotherhood.
When Xavier ‘AK’ Deyes and his Hangmen brother try to rescue more of Sisters who were sold from the New Zion to the Aryan Brotherhood, the find Phebe completely captures his attention. First he remembered her from their first interaction when he tied her to a tree and second, he condition reminds him of his past. AK decides he must help Phebe get clean and reclaim her life. Little did he know by helping her work through her pain, he would also be working through his own pain.
My main issue is that they are so messed up individually that jumping right into a relationship didn't make sense. I also didn't really feel their chemistry as much as some of the other couples. They redeemed each other but I didn't think that there was enough individual healing for each person. A lot happened and not enough space to process before AK and Phebe jumped into their HEA journey.

With the deadline passed, I'm afraid you'll have to sit this one out. :(
Also, and I'm just noticing this now because I wasn't paying sufficient attention: How did you arrive at #1 in a series working for spot 50? It should be only standalone, #5, #50 or the alternate. (Not that it matters this time...)

You skip this roll and roll on Thursday. You can do so without Wolf's review.
Especially since I'm still puzzled how half the team ended up reading #1 books which don't work for spot 50.
That is, I figure you went with Ezi's "Read a book that is a Standalone, 0, 1st, 5th or 50th in a series OR Alternate Read: Young Adult/New Adult" statement - but I don't get how you arrived at that, Ezi?

1) Re Reading Book 1: that was an error on my part. But I guess it doesn’t matter at this point.
I don’t find the Standalone rule confusing at all, it was just simply not paying full attention as I set up our team book choice post when I was copying and pasting.
2) Denise, just to be clear, are we precluded from being able to earn a point for Halloween Themed book, right?
3) Teammates, it wouldn’t hurt if you checked in the evening before a roll to make sure Our team book choices/review posts are correctly set with the links to your review so we are straight before Denise double-checks us. That would eliminate confusion as to whether or not you posted your review.
4) Wolf, do you receive my pms?

Okay! Cool. I just wanted to make sure Goodreads didn’t have something wonky. Because there are days I don’t get any notification or I get error messages for the site.
Well I’m ready for our next roll, so let’s all kick butt for the rest of the Challenge. We can earn the remaining bonus points to add to our spot number. We still have an unused point

Unfortunately, yes. That one's only available during the roll covering Halloween. :(
I have no doubt you'll manage to collect all the rest, though!

Review: I randomly chose this book as it was available through the Audible Romance Package, I recognized the male narrator and it was #4 in a series and seemed like I didn't need to read the prior books. I don't read a lot of MF and sometimes female narrators irritate me, so I did not have high expectations.
I quite enjoyed this. I liked the narrators Tatiana Sokolov, and Sean Crisden. I did not feel like I needed to read books #1-3, but I learned enough about those characters to be interested in reading them.

I love this series. I started with her Smythe Smith Quartet.
I admit that I didn't quite love the Duke and I. But the rest I have enjoyed immensely.
I really had a hard time deciding between Bridgertons and The Protectors. But I suspect that I will still get to read

Review: I loved this book. I like the race, and how they are competitive and how they all try to win. I hate how Lola kills the Headmaster, and gives them his body. I like how the pirates are determined to kill those Vampirates. I like how Grace gets to meet her mother. I love that they take Sally back to their hometown. I really like how Sally heals when they go back. I like how she is able to rejoin the twin’s father. I hate how Sidorio and Lola meet and how they go around causing destruction wherever they go. I like how the pirates try to kill Lola, and I hate how she comes back.

I seriously love this serise. I haven't been disappointed yet by any of the Bridgerton's books.
I have been looking forward to Eloise Bridgerton's book because she always stated she intended to be single and unmarried. I was curious to see what Sir Phillip said or did to earn her hand.
I enjoyed Sir Phillip and his two kids. they had been through a lot and needed Eloise. He was confusing with this mannerisms but Eloisa wasn't as indifferent to marriage as she appeared to be.
I found this book funny, hopeful, sey and endearing. Phillip and Eloisa were good together. This book was another good addition to the series.
