Heidi, I have all of the Harry Potter books and audios also. I enjoyed the books even more when I re-read them. Enjoy!

Yay! Love them.

I loved this series. The last book made me cry!

Just finished A Test of Wills

I also enjoyed Maria Semple's Where'd You Go, Bernadette and occasionally books about health issues. But I always return to my mysteries!
Finished Heart of a Warrior by Johanna Lindsey late last night when I couldn't sleep, and have now started Bound by Flames by Jeaniene Frost -- read three chapters before I even got to work today. I have a feeling this one will have me up reading late tonight, and not due to trouble falling sleep.

Also been listening to Firestorm

Hope it's as good as the book because the book was lovely.

Finished Bound by Flames by Jeaniene Frost last night, and am so glad there will be a fourth book in the series. Am now reading Hostage by Kay Hooper.

I've got BOUND BY FLAMES coming up soon!

Finished Hostage by Kay Hooper Sunday afternoon. Good, but not as creepy as most of her Bishop books tend to be.

That's a great collection -- I'm currently re-reading it. Really good for dipping in and out of. =)

Around the World in Eighty Days is my favorite book. I read it probably twice a year.
I've just read Gentle Pirate for the Ultimate Challenge. A typical JAK's books where you can see how the romance MCs have evolved, although the background and the plot are similar. An enjoyable reading anyway.

Read that when I was about 10 and LOVED it!

Not to brag, but I won a copy of that book in second grade for tying most books read during the year. It quickly became a childhood favorite. ☺

I'm also listening to Avalon High by Meg Cabot on audiobook. It's not bad so far.
I'm in a "blah" mood right now reading wise. I'm reading but nothing seems to really grab me. It may be time to go back to an old favorite to "cleanse my palette" so to speak.

Just starting third book in Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series: Blameless

Hahaha - maybe the next one :) I take it you aren't listening to Blameless either??? That series is one of my all time favorites on audiobook.

I love Meg C. but Avalon High was disappointing for me. Hope you find a less "meh" read soon :)

Afraid not! ;) Is that the Emily Grey narrator one? I listened to a sample, but the pace was a little slow for me and Mrs Loontwill jarred with my 'imagined voice' for her...
Finished Blameless today, so on to Heartless

I read it for the first time last year and loved it. We just don't always get around to reading some of the classics, it just happens. I haven't read To Kill a Mockingbird yet but I finally watched the movie over the weekend. Some how I never saw the movie either. (shrug)
I'm just starting an ARC of Gwendolen: A Novel which is based on or is a reimagining of Daniel Deronda by George Eliot and which is another classic I haven't read yet.

Thanks, Jennifer, for introducing me to this book. It's definitely going on my list of non-mystery reads.
The 500 pages doesn't bother me.... I'll cope.

For a history buff, this is another great read.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is one of my very favorite books! Loved the movie, too! (How did you get out of having to read it in school? That's where I read it the first time.)

It wasn't required reading and I recall Silas Marner was required. Most of my reading back then was Daphne du Maurier or Agatha Christie

I remember SILAS MARNER. Hated that book!

You're welcome MaryJo - I just finished it last night, and truly, I found it to be an excellent read. It's not often you can say a non-fiction history book is a page turner, but The Candy Bombers was.
