Reading Love Does (Bob Goff), recommended by a friend of a friend, it is good so far. I don't read many books written by a guy but he's making me laugh & that's a huge plus.

Yay! Love them.
I'm reading A Snitch in Time by Sunny Frazier. So far it seems lighter and I'm really enjoying it.
A Snitch in Time: Christy Bristol Astrology Mysteries ~ Book 3
I'm just about to start the final book in the "His Dark Materials" series by Philip Pullman, The Amber Spyglass.

"I loved this series. The last book made me cry!
I've been listening to Reunion in Death
by J.D. Robb today.Just finished A Test of Wills
by Charles Toddhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Occasionally I read literary books, such as Anne Tyler's. My most recent was The Beginner's Good-bye I also enjoyed Maria Semple's Where'd You Go, Bernadette and occasionally books about health issues. But I always return to my mysteries!
Finished Heart of a Warrior by Johanna Lindsey late last night when I couldn't sleep, and have now started Bound by Flames by Jeaniene Frost -- read three chapters before I even got to work today. I have a feeling this one will have me up reading late tonight, and not due to trouble falling sleep.
Just finished Before I Go To Sleep
by S.J. Watsonhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Also been listening to Firestorm
by Nevada Barr

Hope it's as good as the book because the book was lovely.
I read a wide range of books, from poetry to classics to science fiction & fantasy, but mysteries are still my biggest genre. Lately I have been reading a lot of science fiction. Right now I am reading Isaac Asimov's first novel, Pebble in the Sky in paperback, listening to Pride and Prejudice on audiobook, and reading Hercule Poirot: The Complete Short Stories on my Kindle.

Finished Bound by Flames by Jeaniene Frost last night, and am so glad there will be a fourth book in the series. Am now reading Hostage by Kay Hooper.

I've been binge reading Sandra Parshall's Rachel Goddard books. I read the first two several years ago, I've just finished
and
now I'm in the middle of
. I'd forgotten how wonderful Parshall's style is. I'm going to be sorry to finish this series. Does anyone else binge read?
Finished Hostage by Kay Hooper Sunday afternoon. Good, but not as creepy as most of her Bishop books tend to be.
Leslie wrote: "... reading Hercule Poirot: The Complete Short Stories on my Kindle."That's a great collection -- I'm currently re-reading it. Really good for dipping in and out of. =)
I'm currently reading 1984; it's the group read for March for another GR group I'm a member of. I'm almost afraid to admit it, but I've never read this book before, even though it's really considered a classic.
I'm reading Around the World in Eighty Days as the book with a number in the title for the 2015 Ultimate Reading Challenge. I am really enjoying it, much more than I thought I would.
Lynn wrote: "I'm reading Around the World in Eighty Days as the book with a number in the title for the 2015 Ultimate Reading Challenge. I am really enjoying it, much more than I thought I would."Around the World in Eighty Days is my favorite book. I read it probably twice a year.
I've just read Gentle Pirate for the Ultimate Challenge. A typical JAK's books where you can see how the romance MCs have evolved, although the background and the plot are similar. An enjoyable reading anyway.
I finished reading, for the first time (I know!) The Secret Garden. Brilliant book - although I doubt anyone here doesn't already know that. :)

Not to brag, but I won a copy of that book in second grade for tying most books read during the year. It quickly became a childhood favorite. ☺

I started Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener a couple of days ago. I usually love Michener but this one is not grabbing my interest the same way most of them do. I'm also listening to Avalon High by Meg Cabot on audiobook. It's not bad so far.
I'm in a "blah" mood right now reading wise. I'm reading but nothing seems to really grab me. It may be time to go back to an old favorite to "cleanse my palette" so to speak.
Just finished The Silkworm
- more graphic/gory than the first book, but a nice sneak peak into the London literary world. (Sorry Heidi, didn't manage to listen to this one on audiobook, still getting through the 24-hour-long Christie autobiography!)Just starting third book in Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series: Blameless
- loving the mix of urban fantasty & steampunk.
Enjoying Ten Beach Road by Wendy Wax. First of her novels I've read. Have been trying new (to me)
authors lately it seems.
I just finished rereading
(except I have the original 2 book set courtesy of my UBS). Considering its age, it holds up quite well.

Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "Hahaha - maybe the next one :) I take it you aren't listening to Blameless either??? I listened to a sample, but the pace was a little slow for me and Mrs Loontwill jarred with my 'imagined voice' for her...
Finished Blameless today, so on to Heartless
. Don't you love it (and your wallet hates it) when you get dragged into a series and can't stop? =)
I started Sunshine on Scotland Street, by Alexander McCall Smith. He's one of my favorite authors, and though I'm only a few pages into it, I know this will be another charming story.
❂ Jennifer (reviews on BookLikes) wrote: "I finished reading, for the first time (I know!) The Secret Garden. Brilliant book - although I doubt anyone here doesn't already know that. :)"I read it for the first time last year and loved it. We just don't always get around to reading some of the classics, it just happens. I haven't read To Kill a Mockingbird yet but I finally watched the movie over the weekend. Some how I never saw the movie either. (shrug)
I'm just starting an ARC of Gwendolen: A Novel which is based on or is a reimagining of Daniel Deronda by George Eliot and which is another classic I haven't read yet.
I'm about half way through The Candy Bombers about the Berlin airlift post WWII. It's incredibly interesting and actually hard to put down. Which is good, because at 500+ pages it's hard to pick up!

The 500 pages doesn't bother me.... I'll cope.
Just couldn't resist one more David McCullough book when I found a used copy of The Path Between the Seas: The Creation of the Panama Canal, 1870-1914.For a history buff, this is another great read.
Karen M wrote: "❂ Jennifer (reviews on BookLikes) wrote: "I finished reading, for the first time (I know!) The Secret Garden. (How did you get out of having to read it in school? That's where I read it the first time.)

You're welcome MaryJo - I just finished it last night, and truly, I found it to be an excellent read. It's not often you can say a non-fiction history book is a page turner, but The Candy Bombers was.
I just finished The Girl On The Train and now am enjoying Reading Jackie: Her Autobiography in Books by William Kuhn. Exceptionally interesting for those of us who remember Camelot.
