Hello Again review
3.5 stars rounded up, the story is really good, though becoming a bit repetitive at times. I'm hoping the author tries something new the next time around, but she has set it up for a similar storyline again. I still enjoyed it, except for the (also repetitive) whiny relationship issues the MC has.
I finished
It was the 4th in the Tracy Crosswhite series. The reocurring characters are fun. It is exactly what you would expect.

I read a really great review from a GR friend, and so I couldn't help myself and hit the request button. On the plus side, I should have 3 books of my shelf this month (maybe can push for 4?). They are all so old I really want to clear them out

That's too bad you didn't enjoy that one, Karen. Nice review. I'm trying not to add any for a while. I aded a lot last month and I have far too many on my shelf already. I just reorganized them by publication date, because I wasn't considering that when reviewing, and I found that I'm really behind where I should be and have a few coming up too. That's partly why I dnf the last book. It was taking too long to get through and all my other galleys were just sitting there. I considered sending feedback that I wouldn't be reading some, since they are so old, but I'm still interested in them. Hopefully, now that I'm not stuck on that one book I can get a move on with some of the others.
Yes it’s a bendy good idea Kristie. I read mine by publication date too but I got behind and mine are March/April so I’m trying to get a wriggle on!

It really helped that I had ten days of holidays where I read novels and stayed away from textbooks :)
Well I'm going to call it for the month and petty happy I got 5 read in August. Although I don't have many on my shelf, they are all kind of old and I really want to get through those that have already been published (6) before I go on a crazy requesting spree :)
This has really not been a great month for me. Finally updated everything for August and I've added a LOT of books to my shelf. I've done not too bad in terms of reading them but seem to be a bit blocked as far as writing up the reviews goes.My shelf would probably not be that terrible (and I'd get that bloomin 200 review badge) if I just wrote and submitted the reviews. I may try to get a couple in today and tomorrow.
I keep borrowing quantum mechanics books from the library, and reading those instead of my NG ones... Well, at least I did 3 this month, it's always better than 0. ^^;
If I was sensible I'd do the reviews straight away but often there's a shiny new book calling my name and I can always write the review later once I've thought about it more.....Then it's 6 months later and I'm struggling to remember anything about the book or the characters. Those reviews are so much fun to write :P
Haha even just a week later I struggle to remember sometimes 😂 but I don’t write very detailed or long reviews so I can get them done pretty fast
Oh! I'm the same as Karen. I have to write them right away. Even not writing detailed reviews, I wouldn't remember enough 6 months later. lol
I finally finished Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik last night. Started it in May but gave up on the ARC and resorted to a library copy cos the format was so bad. Needless to say rather than write the review I sat and watched TV :) Has anyone been watching Bodyguard? It's brilliant.I'm also at long last listening to a book I got from NetGalley 3 years ago. Will be nice to clear it off my shelf but I'm a bit embarrassed about giving feedback 3 years late.

haha
It is getting to the end of football season here, so I can't say we watch much else on TV at the moment ;)
I listened to one of my NetGalley books this month too. I did feel bad that I got to it so late that it had already been released on audio and was available from my library lol

I’ve given reviews really late before and felt the same way, but at the same time I want them off my shelf. I currently have 3 books that are a year old that I still need to get to. I really need to get better about that.
Ok, I don't think I'll manage to get to another book tonight so in August I added 7 and read 9. That's a win in my book since my overall number went down. Next month I'm hoping to chip away at my backlog more since I only have 3 September books to read.Start of month:

Feed Your Readers, the NetGalley Challenge
Duration: Monthly
How to Participate:
The NetGalley Challenge is designed to not only get you to read your NetGalley books, but to also advertise your reviews for others to see because after all, that's what NetGalley is all about.
Though you may pop in/out at any time, the NetGalley Challenge will run on a monthly basis so you are able to see progress being made.
1. At the beginning of the month, post any/all of the following:
a: How many books on your NetGalley shelf
b: What books are on your NG shelf
c: What your Netgalley feedback ratio is
2. During the month, read the NetGalley books that you can AND update your post with your reviews. (You can do this after each book or wait until the end of the month.)
3. At the end of the month, update your post and with:
a: What books you read
b: Link(s) to your review(s)**
c: Your updated shelf count
d: Your updated books to read
e: Your updated ratio
Then start a new post for the next month!
Do you ever get so caught up in your reading that you don't want to stop to write your reviews?
Thinking about that, it was decided we need a "Review Weekend", once each month, set aside to write those reviews you've been not doing in favor of reading!
Review Weekends will vary randomly each month and is meant to be a time set aside to review. Take one, or both days and get caught up on reviews so you can spend the rest of the month reading!!
The next Review Weekend is set for August 18/19
**When linking your reviews, please link only to the book(s) here at GoodReads. At this time, linking to a personal blog is not allowed. Thank you!
