Good Morning Newts!!!Since we haven't had anyone else chime in, to start with our TWT tasks we'll go with:
Sorcerer's Stone
Order of the Phoenix
Deathly Hallows
We need to pick 3 main tasks from these and read the 4 sub-tasks. Once those are done, we can read the rest of the tasks for any of the books. It's still a little unclear if we can use a book that fits another task before we've finished our first 36 books. It's also unclear if we start today or tomorrow - I'll let you know once those things have a final decision.
Also - for our Character Spell-outs, I got a lot of books logged last night, but there are still more to go - sheesh you guys read a lot of books in a few weeks! We need U's and Y's!!!!
***We need to choose 3 tasks for each book*** Also, remember one person does not have to read all four sub-tasks (although you can - more on that after we've picked our tasks)Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - We still need two tasks for this book
Task 1 - Defeat the Troll
Read a book with a double L in the title
Read a book with a baseball bat on the cover
Read a book with “troll” in the title or text
Read a book with a only 5 word title
Task 2 - Get past Fluffy
Read a book with a musical instrument on the cover
Read a book MPG Music
Read a book where the main character is a musician
Read a book with “Song” in the title
Task 3 - Play Wizard’s Chess
Working together as a team do a Title Relay of 4 books.
(The first word of the second book must match the last word of the first book, the first word of the third book must match the last word of the second book, the first word of the fourth book must match the last word of the third book)
You may not ignore articles (a, an, the, etc).
Each book must be read by different team member
Task 4 - Escape Devil’s Snare ** Linda will read all books in this task***
Read a book with a predominately green cover
Read a book with “Devil” in the title
Read a book where the title starts with S
Read a book tagged at least 10 times as “relax” or “calm” (variations are allowed)
Task 5 - Mirror of Erised
Read a book which the authors initials are E.D.
Read a book with a mirror on the cover
Read a book tagged at least 50 times as “wish”
Read a book with a person on the cover with their hand in their pocket

Tasks 1 and 2 look good for Sorcerer’s Stone.Tasks 2, 3 and 4 for Order
Just because I know I have books that I can read towards them- here’s my thoughts on the tasks we could completeHP&SS: Task 1
HP& OOP: Task 3 & 4
HP & DH: Task 2 & 3
And i’m going to have this crazy arc completed by the cut off, promise! I hate the main character and I’m reading solely for the “twist you’ll never see coming” that my Mom assures me makes the entire book.
For some reason I'm not able to load the spread sheet so I don't know which is the task already chosen for Sorcerer's Stone but I'll try to look at this tonight to make something fitETA: never mind, I see it. DUH. If it were a snake it would have bit me. LOL

I agree with what Danielle said. I can't think of any for Deathly Hallows right off the bat
Hey @Sass - all the options are listed above. Right now we need to choose 2 out of the 5 tasks for Sorcerer's Stone and Deathly Hallows and 3 out of the 5 tasks for Order of the Phoenix. Once those are chosen, we can then pick out which sub-tasks each of us wants to read or our books fit.Word is that TWT starts today, so any books finished today can count. So.......we need to make our picks asap. I'll give it another hour or so and if no one else has an opinion we'll go with what Danielle and Erika have suggested.

Hi @Erika -FYI, Danielle has also finished an ARC, so if you can't get it done we are still good. But I know you've been working hard on this one, so if you finish we'll use your book for that class. I just wanted you to know the pressure is off. :-)
I'm good with whatever the group decides. I'm a little under the weather, so my brain is about to explode reading all of this. I think I'll come back once everything is decided and pick a book from there, if that's okay.

For Order of the Phoenix I can do the seer/fortune teller character for Task 5. I'm reading the Raven King right now and a lot of the characters are psychics.

If you aren't already feeling crazy enough, here is the link to info on the Tri-Wizard Maze. This is a HOUSE part of the challenge, so we are working with the other Hufflepuff teams. I'm not sure how it's going to work yet, but keep an eye on the Badger's Burrow and I'll update here as well for anything important.

No one is obligated to play in the TWT - hopefully most of us want to in some way since we joined a challenge, but I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed or guilty if you just want to read. Having fun is the most important thing. ###
For the Tri-Wizard Tasks, we're starting with the following:Sorcerer's Stone
Tasks 1, 2 and 4 (Linda is reading all sub-tasks for 4)
Order of the Phoenix
Tasks 3, 4 and 5 (Nox is reading for task 5, sub-task 1)
Deathly Hallows
Tasks 1, 2 and 3 (Claire is possibly reading for all of task 1, but she still needs to confirm this)
If you want to claim a task note it on the planning spreadsheet or post a note here. Also, for any of the tasks, make a note in your completion post as well as info for the character spell-outs.

which works for MPG Music, Instument on cover, Musician (task 2 Sorcerer’s Stone). Screenshot of main genres as music is last one on there at moment, so proof in case they change.
I can read for MPG Mystery. I have a couple of books I can choose from.

Okay! I'll check out the other tasks.
BTW - we've posted our first book in the maze - Danielle finished some books today, so I used one of hers to get the maze started. (Danielle - I used Shattered and I was debating 'cuz it has that U we need, but thought it would be more fun to have the first book in the maze!)
Yeah, good to have first move of maze done. There are another 6 books in that series I can read, so still some U’s to come.

I read a lot of YA. So when I have to read an adult book that's over 400 pages - that's a big girl book.

Hi! I read The Raven King which has psychics (seer/fortune teller) in it! That counts as a book for one of the tasks!

I was hoping to get one more Buddy Read done, but sadly it's not gonna happen. I've got several books going right now - I don't think any of them fit our current tasks, but as soon as I'm done with these I'll find some that work.
Oh! Just finished my arc beyond the cutoff (so thank you danielle for reading an arc as well) and i just realized though i missed the cut off for the classes iiiiiiiitttt works for a TWT task: HPOOP Task 4: Book where someone dies as there’a a giant mystery over the dad’s death and an ex-gf.
