SandyL | 4747 comments Hi Claire (and everyone)

Post your completed books as normal in the Completed Books Thread.

Include in your post what tasks your book works for (you may find it works for more than one - include them all if possible in case we need to move things around)

Also keep including info for spell-outs please

Thanks!

RL is a little busy at the moment. Sorry. I'm away this weekend and next. I finally finished a book and posted that. I left work today early with a searing headache and was down and out all evening. I'll spare you the yucky details.. but at least I'm upright now and ready for more meds.

I'll take the task - read a book with the word "song " in the title if no one has claimed that.

We can't get points for any other tasks until these are completed. The Mods have updated the rules a bit, so any books we read from 8/1 are eligible for any tasks, but we really need to get these done first. Please check the books you've claimed, and if you aren't going to read that task, let me know so we can open it up to another player.

Here is the link again for our planning spreadsheet - you can see what's open under the TWT tab: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

You can add your read books to the Book Detail tab and also claim tasks - if you don't have access just request it and I'll add you. Let me know if you have any questions.

Kim Anderson (kimmatski) | 1223 comments It will be awhile before I finish my "troll" book. Looking into next week. Please, please, please if someone finishes a book that works for this, use it!

message 884: by Claire (last edited Aug 03, 2018 09:38AM) (new)

Claire | 273 comments I am trying to finish asap, but having too many things, not really succeeding. For me the tasks with 7 would be done by tuesday. If someone is quicker, no problem. Please take it.

I’m now starting part 7 in a series.

message 885: by SandyL (new)

SandyL | 4747 comments Thanks for the updates @Kim and @Claire.

If anyone reads a book that fits an uncompleted task, note it in your post. And remember - we've got lots of stuff going on so your book will be used for something even if it's not the original reason for reading it.

Kim Anderson (kimmatski) | 1223 comments I'm reading Born of Night (The League Nemesis Rising #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and not really feeling it. It's long. Has anyone read it? Should I stick it out or abandon?

I haven't read it, but if you're not liking it and would normally dnf or put on hold until a better time, then go ahead. We can find another book with troll, Kim. It's one thing to suffer through a short book for a challenge - no reason to do it with a long book!

I love that series. But if you’re not feeling it, don’t suffer. As you said, it’s a long book.

message 890: by Kim (new)

Kim Anderson (kimmatski) | 1223 comments I need a book with aliens for another challenge anyways, so I guess I'll try to stick it out. I usually like Kenyon's stuff.

Danielle, I know this is your kind of story! I highly recommend it to you.

lol... Ok, here is my story that I told Sandy earlier this week. True story!
I was out bowling Monday night getting ready to leave and do a taxi kid pick up. (9:55 pm) As I 'm collecting my bowling balls my phone rings and I answer. I say hello again and again and she says whos this. I half snort and tell her you called me so who is this? She starts to get a little emotional and says I just want to know the name of the person who keeps calling my boyfriend's number. I snort and say well ; not me. She 's starting to get angry and spouting off and I hang up on her.
I thought she figured out she had the wrong number because she didn't call back but she called last night while I was sick and I didn't answer.
I was telling Sandy... difficult to be me when my love life is non existent.

After hearing my story Sandy recommends this book to me Four Letter Word (Dirty Deeds, #1) by J. Daniels because the main character calls a stranger and tells him off for hurting her best friend. Its so much better than my telephone call.
Anyway after my phone call experience this was a must read for me and I'm happy I did, as it was a HOT, sweet, romantic HEA!

message 899: by SandyL (new)

SandyL | 4747 comments I like your interpretation @Sassafrass! I know during the classes Sonia was looking for creativity - hopefully that still works because I think this is great! What do you think @Laura?

message 900: by Laura (new)

Laura | 9707 comments Yes, very creative Sassafrass. We can always take it to the captain's group. They also love creativity!
