I loved American Dirt, too. Didn’t even know about all the controversy until I finished. I am interested in Hispanic writers, too and have read books. Someone, was very distressed and even made a list. The list was great, but I told him the problem is not the author, it’s that publishing houses aren’t selecting a variety of Hispanic writing. I do agree w/you, think it’s crossing a line of just too Politically Correct when can only read if that exact background. I am Irish and German, don’t know much about my heritage. So, suddenly I qualify to write a book on Ireland, and I am the only one allowed? Glad you liked the book 📖 Excellent.

I couldn't wait Jasmine, I began it yesterday while hubby was glued to football games! I've only got about 10% into it but so far it's good. Well written and so far, enjoying the plotline tension.

It has been awhile, but I read Behind the Fan and thought is was wonderful.

It is written by Caroline Walken and it centers on the life (present and past) of an woman suffering from dementia.

It is emotional, but in an uplifting way. I am thinking of reading it again, loved it that much!

I agree Laura. I really loved the story but also learning about the history of tea. Every time after I finished the book and I made a cup of tea, I thought of that book.
