Yes, I can't stress enough how great this book is. It's something I'd even recommend to people who aren't big readers because of how universal the theme is, plus how short it is.
Also, great point Susan. As a giant art lover/fan of visual storytelling, I don't know how I haven't raved more about the illustrations.

I liked Cinder. It was a good book.

message 364: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) I just finished City of Bones which I liked very much. That's another series I'll need to work on. Now I'm starting The Selection. I'm not too sure about this one but I'm going to give it a try.

message 367: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments Just finished The Hunt for Dark Infinity (The 13th Reality, #2) by James Dashner Really fun read. Better than the first book. The writing isn't the strongest, but the stories are fun and easy to get into to.

Up next I'll start Through the Woods by Emily Carroll and probably The Spindlers by Lauren Oliver

That's one of the few books I could not get into. Which is a shame because I really liked the idea of it a lot. Oh well, can't love them all, right? Hopefully it's more up your alley :)

I perused the first few pages, but it didn't seem worth it. But I kind of have a distaste for Cassandra Clare.

I considered picking it back up because I love the idea a lot, but there are sooo many book I want to read, I'll probably never get back to it.

message 375: by Eve (new)

Eve (arweneve) I loved the book, but I see where you guys are coming from. For me, it was the first few chapters that were slow going. But once you start it you don't want it to end, believe me. Hope you stick to it Susan.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I finished Through the Woods by Emily Carroll this morning. A good, creepy comic read. Quite enjoyed it.

I decided I'm gonna read The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #1) by Erika Johansen next since I got lucky to get it before people at the library started putting holds on it.

Andrea (alexandra14) | 112 comments I'm reading The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass I have heard a lot about it, positives and negatives things, so now that the series won and the group is reading it I'm giving it a try.

I'm also reading Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1) by Katie McGarry

message 386: by Eve (new)

Eve (arweneve) Finished: Matched
- Brief: Eh. Honestly it was ok. The characters are so...bland. No 'flavor' whatsoever.

Currently Reading: Crossed
- Update: Maybe a bit better than Matched but still the characters, ugh! And Cassia bothers me SO MUCH! I don't know if I'll proceed to Reached at all. Don't bother.

Up Next: Scarlet -or- Peter and the Starcatchers
- PATS: I've heard good things about it, that it has a relation to Peter Pan which I loved!
- Scarlet: I absolutely loved Cinder, so I'm looking forward to it! I've heard mixed results about it.

message 387: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) I'm finally reading Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer and I'm excited to see where the story will take me.
