Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I just finished The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater and OMG I am loving the Raven Cycle series! 10 more days until book 3 comes out :)

Going to start The Mysterious Howling (The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place #1) by Maryrose Wood tomorrow. I don't know what it's about, but I saw it at the library and loved the cover so went ahead and picked it up.

A.C. Harrah | 3 comments I'm still working on Phoenix. I'm enjoying the book, but at the same time it's not grabbing me as much as the first.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I recently came to the conclusion that, since I am a very easily satisfied person in terms of entertainment, I will start discarding books that don't capture my interest within the first few chapters(a very easy thing to do, really) and moving along to the next rather than continuing with hopes that I'll enjoy it more along the way. Unfortunately, The Mysterious Howling (The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place #1) by Maryrose Wood has fallen victim to this philosophy after three chapters :/

So, I moved along to The Vengekeep Prophecies by Brian Farrey Four chapters in and I'm already really enjoying it :)

message 107: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments Finished The Vengekeep Prophecies by Brian Farrey last night and just loved it. I highly recommend it.

I think I'm gonna start The Journal of Curious Letters (The 13th Reality, #1) by James Dashner later today. Take a gander at what Dashner did pre-Maze Runner.

It's OK so far. It's trying hard to appeal to boys, even though it has a female main character.

I haven't seen the movie. I took this to school today because I knew I'd be sitting there just so there was a certified teacher in the room with a student teacher, and I read half of it. I'm really enjoying it so far.

P.S. The Secret Room of Kaatu Temple is up next. I needed something like Silver Linings after finishing The Infinite Sea. lol

It was okay, just not what I was expecting after how good the first one was. Parts of it were amazing, but parts of it weren't.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I finished The Journal of Curious Letters (The 13th Reality, #1) by James Dashner last night. Really fun read. Gives you a lot of action, and a nice little bit of fun puzzles to ponder as Tick tries to solve them. I recommend.

Up next, The Dark Hills Divide (The Land of Elyon, #1) by Patrick Carman

Susan | 169 comments Eve wrote: "@Susan thank you :)"

Well, Eve, I finished Hook's Revenge (Hook's Revenge, #1) by Heidi Schulz
I felt that this book had a great premise, but that I was always waiting for it to really take off. The last third of the story was more interesting.
Now I'm going to give The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater a try.

message 135: by Megan (new)

Megan (megantron119) | 486 comments I started Tankborn (Tankborn, #1) by Karen Sandler a couple of days ago and I am really liking it so far. It's a little different when you first start reading because there are different words and names, but once you get into it you're hooked. I hope I can find the rest of them sometime.

message 136: by Eve (new)

Eve (arweneve) Thanks Susan! I'll check both out ASAP

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments Sadly, after spending over a week to reach page 70, I decided to give up on The Dark Hills Divide (The Land of Elyon, #1) by Patrick Carman :/ The synopsis sounded so interesting, but that far in and nearly nothing had happened. So sad.

I started Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos (Theodosia Throckmorton, #1) by R.L. LaFevers (my last library book) a couple days ago, and I'm liking it so far. It's pretty light and kind of funny, but still interesting enough so far.
