Exactly! I love those stories and I never get tired of them. I dont care that the plot doesnt go anywhere or takes baby steps! The story is the fun part for me! These are the books I dont get serious about I just enjoy!

I've heard great things and bad things so i guess it might be a "mood read" kinda story..not sure but I will get to it eventually!

Yes, I agree. My one complaint is that there are several POVs and their voices all sound too much alike, if that makes sense, so that it is hard to keep straight who is talking. I haven't really gotten hooked like I thought I would, I find myself putting it down and being o.k. with not picking it up, but then when I do pick it up, I like it... it is a weird one for me, but I am hanging in there because the stories are starting to connect now and I want to see where it goes.

Right now I am trying to find a new PNR series along the lines of Chicagoland Vampires / Fever / Night Huntress / Immortals after Dark / Mercy Thomps..."
Have you tried the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews? I think it's UF, but it's about the same as Mercy Thompson. More sexy times.
Currently reading

Yes I have tried it and it is one I will continue but I go through a book a day so I am looking for multiple series :) And yes you are right it is like Mercy Thompson and a ton of other series.

just finished

Not sure what genre you're looking for or if you've already read these but here are a few of my suggestions:

All your perfects keeps jumping up everywhere on my feed...I might have to check that out!

I started it last night and DNF it !! A first for me of Colleens books !!
If you dont like cheating in a story I would suggest skipping this one.

I have tried this one a few times and couldn’t really get into it. Maybe it isn’t for me either 😕

It's very slow, I'm roughly 240 pages in & the two leads have just met each other. It's a mix of Arabic & Jewish folklore/mythology & it's sucked me right in.

I loved Jane much more than Mercy I was a lil disapointed in Mercy! I really enjoyed Chicagoland Vampires another great series!

I am having a break from these type of books and reading John Conroe Demon accord , excellent
Skiting time, I have retired I have so much time to do my fav occupation: read. But since I speed read( because they are so interesting ) I often find I have to re read the book to pick up a few of the missed bits

Then read

I just recently finish Cainsville series by Kelley Armstrong

Some of these were excellent 5 star reads some were ok some I wish I had never bothered with and a few were beyond exxcellent!!
I just finished

and now I am reading

I am coming up on my 300 Goodreads goal just a few books to go.

Thats not even half of what I've read this year! My goal is 300 and I've reached it today. I have been reading/listening to 1 -2 books a day depending on length.

In Australia at the moment it is a cold winter, chilly winds. I am sitting in a comfy chair, music in the background reading comfort books. Is it too early for wine? I think so.
