BOTM Suggestions Mar '18 - Classics (1969 and before) - NONFICTION

I've read this one, but I'm seconding it, it's a great read.
And not originally in the English language, so it's a good choice for variety as well.

I already read the diary of a young girl, great and
frightening book.

As Dracula, Cat's Cradle, and The Grapes of Wrath are not Nonfiction titles, they will not be eligible this month. You can nominate again next month, thanks!

It changes, it is not the same ever, and usually has all the important guidelines for the nominations of the month.
Also nominating:
Walden by Henry David Thoreau
The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli
The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx
The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
The Republic by Plato

Considered one of the most important books on the Holocaust. Also a trilogy.
But that'd be a direct competition to "Night", with the very same theme.
So, I'll second Night.

Clearly I wasn't reading thoroughly enough. My apologies.
Second to The Origin of Species and The Communist Manifesto
Nominate The Autobiography of Malcolm X

Forgive me Kaseadilla, I'm an idiot!
I'll second The Diary of a Young Girl, since I haven't read it in years
And seconding The Autobiography of Malcolm X, because I've never read it myself

I second movable feast
It is a book I feel I need read. Please notice I said need not want. That is why I want it to be a group read ,If the book becomes a group read I will want to read a book I need to reed.

Walden by Henry David Thoreau
The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli
The Communist Manifesto by [author:Karl Marx..."
I second all of the above!

A Moveable Feast, and
The Autobiography of Malcolm X.
I also nominate
The Art of War,
since even though it's short & I've started it more than once, I've always gotten waylaid & never finished it.

For 2018, we will be trying some new monthly themes, the first being NON-FICTION.
Please nominate a book that is designated as non-fiction.
Will start off by suggesting The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank.
