I'll definitely give it a try.

The fourth and final novel in Maja Lunde's climate quartet (starts with The History of Bees) is finally coming out! The Norwegian pub date is September 9th, 2022, and I guess that means that lucky Gabi will get to read it soon after in German, and I'll have to wait a couple of months longer for the Finnish edition, and then the English edition will be out about a year or so later.
Drømmen om et tre

Also looking forward to Ocean's Echo, and Vows of Empire,

On some level I'm surprised we aren't all sick of Greek mythology but having read The Penelopiad earlier this year I'm super excited for this.

"The Dream of a Tree is set in Spitsbergen at Svalbard in 2110, after a global collapse. Five children are all alone, one of them guarding the access to a frozen seed vault, containing thousands of seeds from all over the world.
The final installment of Maja Lunde’s Climate Quartet asks important questions about responsibility and sustainability, and human’s place in nature. It is also a chilling and gripping tale on our responsibility, both as a species and as individuals."

and
"In this setting, characters from The History of Bees and The End of the Ocean will meet again."

yes, most definitely!!!!

Thank you for this, Beth! Science Fiction retelling sounds excellent.

How sad to have authors we enjoyed leave us! Glad we have something to remember them by at least. These picks look great yall.

I really enjoyed the first book in that series. Very funny!

The Tea Dragon Society Box Set
edit: Yaaayyy, I found the puzzles! One of the European stores that were supposed to get them but didn't now finally have them! A hundred euros for a huge tea dragon haul? Yes please! ^_^

Gosh, they're adorable in the card games and puzzles too. I'd sort of been hoping for a cooperative style of game though. After decades in a confrontational academic setting my normal gaming partner want nothing to do with games that have winners and losers. I can't say that I blame them.
Will there be a ebook version of the collected set as well?

We've only played the tea dragon card games once each, and it wasn't a very good game, unfortunately :D I don't remember why exactly, but no one wanted to play again after we'd tried both versions.
(I just read a middle grade book today that had rules of a card game running through it and it ended with a co-op house rules note and I bawled my eyes out. Anyone looking for a heartbreaking MG book that puts your heart back together at the end, check out A Game of Fox & Squirrels by Jenn Reese. Content warning: (view spoiler) )

I'm so excited for the third Scholomance book too! :D I'm pretty sure it's called The Golden Enclaves

(The Adrian superfans probably knew! :D )
edit: Adrian churns books out at such a wild pace, I never remember which ones I already heard about, so maybe is this very old news.

Elliott posted an image of this book's cover on her Patreon a number of days ago, saying that there would be an official reveal of the US cover the next day. If it was supposed to be on tor.com, I never saw it some through. In any case, enough time has gone by that I don't feel uncomfortable posting it here, especially since the US Kindle edition's cover is now on GR. This cover is quite cool imo, even though I'm usually not fond of photo treatments.

I still have to read the first book... lol. I do like this cover though!

Saw that :) Village in the Sky

I'm excited about
Lost in the Moment and Found, by Seanan McGuire, the next in the Wayward Children series.
The Mimicking of Known Successes, by Malka Older.
Backpacking Through Bedlam, by Seanan McGuire, next in the Incryptid series.
Immortality: A Love Story, by Dana Schwartz.
System Collapse, the next Murderbot, and Witch King by Martha Wells.
Starter Villain by John Scalzi.

Dragons!? You can never have enough of them!

So the one I'm most looking for would be "Lords of Uncreation", the final volume in the Final Architecture series by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

the very, very, very is a tribute to the French way of often saying tres tres tres (tres tres is very common, but for extremes the third tres is trotted out)

I sympathize! The next Lady Astronaut book was pushed to 2024 as well.
