Doesn't even seem like it's from the same world. Those colors... they're reminding me of something off-putting, but I can't put my finger on it.

From a tor.com publishing email today: tor.com will be republishing six of Martha Wells' earlier novels, starting with a revised edition of City of Bones.

I'm very slightly sore we didn't see a sequel to personal favorite CoB due to Tor dropping Wells--this was in the late '90s or early '00s, quite some time before tor.com, distinct from Tor, became a book publisher. But if Wells isn't complaining, it would be pretty ungracious for me to. I hope these reissues send loads of money to her coffers. :) CoB will be in trade paper and ebook.

Pod by Laline Paull was just put on my radar as it ended up on the Women's Prize for Fiction Longlist this year. Looks like it's been out in the UK for about a year now - but just released in the US in February.

I've never read the author's other book that has come up here from time to time, The Bees, but I'm tempted by the idea of a story told from a Dolphin's point of view.

Looks like Have Spirit, Will Duchess is coming June 15.

Tansy Rayner Roberts has also announced an upcoming Kickstarter campaign for a book called "The Time of the Cat," which she describes as featuring "cozy time travel and cranky cats," so I am all in for that.
