I love to read series, and I always have more books in my favorite series that I need to read!

Looks like it's finally time to finish Chronicles of Narnia... so far I've only read "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."

I so enjoyed during a book club this summer (and I'm not normally a fan of really fat books) that I read and . Love the magical element in the series, the firedrake, and Gallowglass.

Well, I've only read Outlander and am about 1/3 of the way through Dragonfly in Amber, where I left off a couple years ago, so anything from starting over on that one to any of the future books in the series would count for me.

Also, my son and I are currently reading the Harry Potter series. We're currently at the beginning of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, so if we drag the next couple out, I can knock this one out pretty easily with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in January or February next year.

I'm also a few books behind on the Stephanie Plum books, so I could read Top Secret Twenty-One, Tricky Twenty-Two, Turbo Twenty-Three, or Hardcore Twenty-Four for this prompt.

I also have quite a few series that I've read over the years & haven't kept up with, as well as many on my TBR to start next year, so if I use the first one for one prompt, I could use a subsequent one for this one. Some I have in mind that I've either started or plan to start next year are:

I've read the first three books in the Throne of Glass trilogy, but after book 3 I decided I'm waiting till the series is complete before reading any more - is the last book out this year?

I could read The City of Mirrors, but I waited too long so I feel like I need to reread the first to books to remember what's going on. I've actually looked for summaries online with no luck.

Good idea Lindsey! As terrible as it sounds, I kind of forgot about that series, oops haha. I think i'm up to about the fourth book too. I might need to go back and read them to refresh my mind. Maybe I can do that in December leading up to the 2018 challenge.

I was also thinking maybe i'd read Crooked Kingdom as I'll be reading the first book Six of Crows for the prompt 'a book involving a heist'.

I’m actively trying to get through Poirot, Lousie Penny and Discworld. But I’m also in a sci-fi/fantasy Book club, so it often feels like I start a new series monthly! I’ve also been contemplating some rereads to finish off series that I started ages ago, like Outlander and Rebus. So plenty of options.

My choice for this prompt is Michael J. Sullivan's The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter - it is the fourth book in the Riyria Chronicles series, but technically the tenth book featuring main characters Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater. My husband and I got early published copies so we plan on reading them once the new year starts.
Backup option is A Clash of Kings by GRRM, which will be an audiobook.

This is a tough prompt for me. At first all I could think of was the fifth Harry Potter book. I read the first four before the fifth came out and never went back to it. But it was so long ago! And then I never finished the first Elena Ferrante book because I just couldn't get into it. The prospect of then going to read the second...eek!

However, I just realised A God in Ruins could be relevant - it's a follow on from Life After Life by Kate Atkinson. It's more a 'spin off' than a series, but I feel ok about it :)

I just finished The Prisoner of Heaven which is the third book after The Shadow of the Wind. Oh my god!! The second book which I thought wasn't that good makes so much more sense! I read Shadows years ago but now I want to reread the whole triology. The fourth (translated) one comes out this year and I can't wait.
