I love to read series, and I always have more books in my favorite series that I need to read!

Looks like it's finally time to finish Chronicles of Narnia... so far I've only read "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."
I so enjoyed
during a book club this summer (and I'm not normally a fan of really fat books) that I read
and
. Love the magical element in the series, the firedrake, and Gallowglass.
Well, I've only read Outlander and am about 1/3 of the way through Dragonfly in Amber, where I left off a couple years ago, so anything from starting over on that one to any of the future books in the series would count for me.Also, my son and I are currently reading the Harry Potter series. We're currently at the beginning of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, so if we drag the next couple out, I can knock this one out pretty easily with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in January or February next year.
I'm also a few books behind on the Stephanie Plum books, so I could read Top Secret Twenty-One, Tricky Twenty-Two, Turbo Twenty-Three, or Hardcore Twenty-Four for this prompt.
I also have quite a few series that I've read over the years & haven't kept up with, as well as many on my TBR to start next year, so if I use the first one for one prompt, I could use a subsequent one for this one. Some I have in mind that I've either started or plan to start next year are:
The Women's Murder Club series by James Patterson
The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series by Alexander McCall Smith
The Millenium series by Stieg Larsson
The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare
The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare
The Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis
A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin
Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor
The Selection series by Kiera Cass
The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater
The Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris
The Aurora Teagarden series by Charlaine Harris
Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown
All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness
The Kingkiller Chronicle series by Patrick Rothfuss
and so many more...
I've read the first three books in the Throne of Glass trilogy, but after book 3 I decided I'm waiting till the series is complete before reading any more - is the last book out this year?I could read The City of Mirrors, but I waited too long so I feel like I need to reread the first to books to remember what's going on. I've actually looked for summaries online with no luck.
Other possibilities
The Hunted
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
Escape Clause
I am currently reading YA series Throne of glass and the selection series. Put a hold on them so I could use some for this challenge 2018 if they fit some of the prompts. But I might do the LOTR.
I read the first book in Elena Ferrante Neapolitan series. The next book would be The Story of a New Name.Or I could go with the 2nd book in the Outlander series, Dragonfly in Amber
I follow lots of authors in different genres who have written books centered on a locale or group of characters or generations of a family: Stephanie Laurens, Martha Grimes, Joan Hess (Long live Maggody!), Carolyn Hart, Nancy Pickard, Tana French, Mariah Stewart, Fern Michaels, Emily March, Susan Wiggs, Charlotte Macleod, Susan Mallory, Debbie Macomber.
I have way too many books from series that I can select from for this category, which is a great problem to have! In terms of authors, these include:Rachel Abbott
David Baldacci
Damien Boyd
Jasper Fforde
Robert Galbraith
Peter James
George R R Martin
Peter May
Graham Masterton
Philip Pullman
Tom Rob Smith
I've discovered a lot of series from doing the challenges the last couple years; it'll be fun to pick out a sequel and follow up.
I have several ongoing series I can pick from:The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye from the Millennium Series (5th)
The Story of a New Name from the Neapolitan Series (2nd)
Lethal White (4th book and if it's released in '18)
The Nature of the Beast from the Inspector Gamache series (#11)
This is great because I left off on book four in Outlander during 2017, so I can pick it back up in 2018 with The Fiery Cross! :) https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.c...
Also I am switching it up with "2nd chance" by James Patterson, since I already read the first book in the woman's murder club series. https://images.gr-assets.com/books/13...
Good idea Lindsey! As terrible as it sounds, I kind of forgot about that series, oops haha. I think i'm up to about the fourth book too. I might need to go back and read them to refresh my mind. Maybe I can do that in December leading up to the 2018 challenge. I was also thinking maybe i'd read Crooked Kingdom as I'll be reading the first book Six of Crows for the prompt 'a book involving a heist'.
I’m actively trying to get through Poirot, Lousie Penny and Discworld. But I’m also in a sci-fi/fantasy Book club, so it often feels like I start a new series monthly! I’ve also been contemplating some rereads to finish off series that I started ages ago, like Outlander and Rebus. So plenty of options.
Any thoughts on whether we're ok with this being like the second in a series we start in '18? I don't know if I have any series that I have started and want to continue at the moment.
This prompt is a nice freebie for me, I have plenty of "next book in a series" books on my TBR. I'll probably wait to fill this for whatever I'm feeling like reading :)
For people who like literary fiction - Ali Smith's Winter just came out - the second volume after Autumn in her four seasons project....
I'm going to roll with the Collector series with this. Someone else taking the challenge recommended the first book in the series, The Butterfly Garden, so I'm using the book for that advanced prompt. Then I'll read the second book, Roses of May, for this prompt. Kill two prompts with one series!
I’m going with New Moon by Stephanie Meyer for this one. I read Twilight around nine or ten years ago, before the others were out and I never picked them up so I figure I’ll give it a go.

is so creepy and So good.
One of my goals for 2018 is to finish some of the series I've been reading, so I've got a couple options for next year:The Raven King
Finding Center
Double Down
A Gathering of Shadows
The Golden Specific
These Ruthless Deeds
Never Fade
Hero at the Fall
The Edge of the Abyss
I've read the first two books in Tana French's series, The Dublin Murder Squad, so I think I'll read the third, Faithful Place. I don't normally read a lot of series, so I'm having a hard time remembering others that I've started that I want to continue with.

Faithful Place is a great book; I hope you enjoy it! :)
I'm still on the first Outlander book so I can't go with that. So I'll probably go with the second book in JoJo Moyes Me Before You series "After You" I could go back to the Percy Jackson series but I'm not sure where I left off... =^(
My choice for this prompt is Michael J. Sullivan's The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter - it is the fourth book in the Riyria Chronicles series, but technically the tenth book featuring main characters Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater. My husband and I got early published copies so we plan on reading them once the new year starts. Backup option is A Clash of Kings by GRRM, which will be an audiobook.

I don't really read series, so I'm going to have to go with Library of Souls, as I read the first two when my son got them out of the local library. I thought the first was good, but wasn't that impressed with the second so I'm not sure what this third book will be like...
I've just remembered that I read Crazy Rich Asians earlier this year. So I might read the second, China Rich Girlfriend.
I'm going to give the Thursday Next series another go with Lost in a Good Book or possibly Us Against You: A Novel, (Can two books be considered a series?)
My original plan was to read The Evolution of Mara Dyer since I read the first book in 2017 and then was interested enough to buy the rest of the series....BUT, I have been torturing myself with The Maze Runner Series for weeks now and I'm down to the last one The Fever Code. I started it this morning, so it will be my first challenge book of the year :-)Can't wait to be done with it, lol.
I just finished The Queen of The Tearling by Erika Johansen so I’m starting 2018 with the next book The Invasion of The Tearling as I loved the first book so much!
I’m working through a lot of series right now, but my audio of The Titan's Curse expires in five days, so I’ll probably go with that.
Jenna wrote: "For people who like literary fiction - Ali Smith's Winter just came out - the second volume after Autumn in her four seasons project...."Ohhh, good one. Although I haven't got to Autumn yet, but nice link up!
This is a tough prompt for me. At first all I could think of was the fifth Harry Potter book. I read the first four before the fifth came out and never went back to it. But it was so long ago! And then I never finished the first Elena Ferrante book because I just couldn't get into it. The prospect of then going to read the second...eek!However, I just realised A God in Ruins could be relevant - it's a follow on from Life After Life by Kate Atkinson. It's more a 'spin off' than a series, but I feel ok about it :)
Just read Authority as my #3 - next book in a series. It was great! I would recommend this trilogy for sure!
I just finished The Prisoner of Heaven which is the third book after The Shadow of the Wind. Oh my god!! The second book which I thought wasn't that good makes so much more sense! I read Shadows years ago but now I want to reread the whole triology. The fourth (translated) one comes out this year and I can't wait.
