Baby and mum are in my thoughts. Wish I could DO something.

Lynne I'm so sorry. For what it's worth, my friends in the NHS all say you have to keep asking them for updates. If you keep badgering them they stay on the case. What you might be able to do is ask for updates on progress as a concerned relative. That can sometimes give them a kick up the arse and make them more vigilant because they know someone is on their case.
It sounds like a horrible situation. Thinking of you.
Cheers
MTM

I had a proper night's sleep and don't feel too bad this morning, believe it or not!
I need to shop. Don't care much about fresh fruit n veg but I'm out of cream for my coffee. This will not do.

Bright sunshine but still crispy frost white out. Looks icy on the pavement.
I've developed a tadpole-shaped floater in my right eye. Annoying to say the least!
I do hope mum and baby catch a break soon, Lynne. I must say, I agree with Mary and Will.
Full of good intentions for today - not sure if they're going to translate into resolution...

Have you had your floater checked Elizabeth?

Then I got home to find my edits back . Ooh-er! That's going to give me a few days' work but it'll tighten up the story so I can sacrifice the Words Written thread for a while in a good cause.
Ice on the chicken water this morning. I can't like winter, however hard I try.

You need to go skiing. That's the only thing that makes winter fun. I can't any more, so no fun.

It was never something that appealed to me. I've never liked snow that much :-(

Never appealed, I hate heights so much changing a light bulb is challenging. Eye started twinging this afternoon when we had some bright sunlight and then my cheek felt funny. Optician didn't find anything last week though

Well Lynne, I'm not given to swearing (much) so I would just say may whoevers toes give them deserved gyp and and you stay safe in the knowledge you have a good and much more sensible heart than them.

I will if it persists or turns into veritable spawn. ; )

Glad the baby is a bit better, but more that they have assigned some serious medical power to monitor him. "We're doing everything we can" isn't very reassuring after all this time, and the family is entitled to answers. They shouldn't mind being asked civil questions.

Really pleased you seem confident the baby is getting proper care now.
I woke to photos of my grand nephew in messenger. He's so gorgeous! I prefer videos, though. He's got such a fetching gurgle.
Good morning!
No cream in any of the three shops I went to yesterday, so I'm reduced to using coffeemate.
Urgh.

Blew yesterday doing lots of pissy shite like putting important dates for the year in the diary (1.5 hours) trying to sort a weekend to visit my brother. Stuff that's supposed to be quick like what's app and texting takes for fucking ever doesn't it? I really must get it into my head that doing the crappy bollocks first is never viable because the crappy bollocks is never ending and will always be fraught with complications that merely expand it to fit the time available.
Grrr ...
Glad the baby is doing better Lynne. One of McMinis pre schools did a home visit. They were lovely.
Patti, I feel your pain, not that I put cream in coffee but I do find milk fairly essential.
Morning all.

Glad baby is getting better Lynne. Is it your family's toes you are stepping on? Wow, never heard of a school doing a home visit. Shame you couldn't find cream Patti

Exciting evening planned with an 'acclimatisation' visit to the recording studios before this weekend's session in there

Dentist straight after lunch, too, so that chops the day in half. Could do with it first or last thing.
Off to the edits!

I know what you mean Lynne, and it makes you wonder why they feel the need to do a home visit.

Oh, didn't tell you lot. A few of the kids were on our flight, as usual.
One of the munchkins wanted to sit on my lap for the flight. Was interesting dissuading her without upsetting her. Got there in the end.

Hope everyone is well?
I have just applied for a job at the Cambridge University Press and i really want it. If you could keep your fingers crossed for me i would really appreciate it.

Lovely people. Dealt with them to get permission to quote the KJV for my book. Best of luck to you - be sure to tell us if you get it!
