Am sure you would! Have to pay the bills though. Decided to get an eye test, was interrupted googling specsavers by the post, opened my boots vouchers to find a free eye test voucher, booked it for tomorrow (am not back till Mon)

Peaceful morning - everyone's recycling bins are out from the holidays (2 week pickup schedule), so I'm glad there is no wind.

Why I'm up before daybreak is the big question. It's broken now, and so was my sleep.

Husband's eye operation was called a success by the doctor when we saw him yesterday, so we just have to wait for the gas bubble in his eye to diminish naturally and the eyesight to come back naturally - could be months for both. Amazing what they can do now - twenty years ago he would not be able to see out of that eye; now the retina is glued back down and the flap over the macula is gone.

It has been a bit tense. Surgeon told him to lie on his left side; he decided that meant 'most of the time.' I told him you didn't take a cast off for a while because it was uncomfortable. Oh, well.

Just happy there are no consequences to not following orders precisely. I couldn't lie on my side for a week, either. But I'd feel more guilty!

A visitor just told me that there is a lot of debris - fallen trees and the like - in Pembrokeshire, with the Cleddai Bridge still closed to anything but cars

Afty. Breezy here but no actual damage. Except that a few of the baubles blew of the Christmas tree in the front garden. So I picked them up.

Made the mistake of walking to the doc and asking to see my favourite - he was running so late I had the quickest app ever and made him give me a nasal spray! Then had to rearrange my eye test for this afternoon. Just been arranging homing some kittens this weekend, so just eating. Might do something from my to do list.
