November Challenge 2017- Clean up time
Finished my 3rd book toward Medium Level challenge:3rd "E" in ELEVEN - Ever | Gail Carson Levine | 2017-Nov-15 ★★★★
(However I may need to "swap this one out" if it looks like I won't be able to finish my Garth Nix book for my 2nd AA as my letter 'N'. If I needed to, I'd read another Emily Rodda book for this 3rd letter 'E'.)
Everyone's doing so well! I've reached the halfway mark for this challenge, having finished my second with task # 1 - Read the book which has been on your TBR shelf the longest:
Bloodstream by Tess Gerritsen. Highly engaging, and utterly compelling! 5 stars. :)

November Clean Up Challenge
5/7SCORPIO:
P - Portable Curiosities by Julie Koh
Review:
The short story is flexible and more open to experiment.
I found the stories in Julie Koh's collection...
Creative? Yes.
Challenging? Yes
Biting satire? Yes
But Koh's freewheeling, playfulness involving
form and subject matter....
I just prefer a more traditional short story with
clever metaphors....and a message that
touches my funnybone or heart.
Hoorah! I am over the hump, and on the home stretch!A Aftermath Keith McArdle (AA) 220p
Just finished the first "P"

which I would thoroughly recommend. It has an incredibly strong 'flavour' of Australia, outback for the childhood section and urban for the adult section. I reviewed it here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Have started
, which may be a longer read, as there is a lot of history and long Italian names

I will check the other reviews....and make sure GR is linked! Thanks for the 'heads up' !
Finished this challenge. I got through 175 pages of Poison Principle by Gail Bell. I was really dragging the chain on this one and was not compelled to finish it. Reading should be more fun than that so I'm moving on.

Well, I have been thoroughly dislodged from my reading schedule by discovering a book I am loving, but was not meant to read ;) just what we were talking about in the Brisbane GR meetup, spontaneity of reading....Wandering through the library to return books (and, of course, I just had to go in and have a look through), I came across
by Sharon ShinnPicked it up for a glance and it hooked me from the first sentence!
It has been ages since a fantasy roped me in that fast. S I am neglecting my November challenge, neglecting my 2017 challenge and honestly, loving every minute of it.

I can't bring myself to go straight on to another none fiction.

Me too! I have the challenge to thank for encouraging me to get around to starting it and once I did, I was hooked. It definitely leaves a lasting impression to read about such an extraordinary woman and others fighting alongside her.

Nicely done, Janine! =o)
I'm so behind I think I'm first! Still have 6 books to read this month! Yikes! Oh well, I may not finish but all my books have been very good! That's success in my book!! =o)
Just finished reading Assassin by Tara Moss and have now completed the challenge. Tara Moss is a new author for me. The fact that I had not read any of the previous books in the series, did not affect my enjoyment of this book. Also would be interested in reading more books in this series.
