2. September is Healthy Aging month. Read a book which is at least ten years old.
First published and set in 1974, I really enjoyed this well written mystery. It highlighted for me the social and technological changes that have occurred in my lifetime. No mobile phones, No reliable DNA testing for paternity till the 1980s. Only Diners, American express and some store credit cards.
The Property of a Gentleman: One House. Many Secrets. by Catherine Gaskin - 4★

I like Joe. You have reminded me to get back to the series. I think I am on number seven.

Phrynne, I wonder how many series you've read or are still reading. Hundreds, I'm sure!

I'd say it keeps you off the streets but I'm sure you said once that you listen to audio when you walk. :)

Horse on cover or story to Pulse by Felix Francis 4*
One of his better ones.

5. November 5th is Guy Fawkes Night
Read a Historical Mystery.
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle

You are so right, Patty! She is still able to run amuck! LOL 😉

As many of us are, Phrynne. =o)
I've been having trouble remembering what has been happening in previous series books at present, of which I'm none too happy about.
So as an answer to the problem I've decided to read only a few series at a time, reading them close together. It works well except that there are so many books I'm wanting to read that are the first in a series!

Occupational hazard, Owl! I'm not planning to finish this series, but others will like it, I'm sure.
Jamie Quinn is back in #2 of The Jamie Quinn Mysteries, The Case of the Killer Divorce by Barbara Venkataraman.

Remembering anything is a problem these days. That's why I prefer series where you get to know the lead characters really well but each book is its own separate story. Most crime series are like that.

That's a good point, Phrynne, thank you. I hadn't thought of it that way. I think my fibromylagia is causing something called 'fibro fog' which makes it a little hard to keep small details straight. We made a small change in my medicine so it should help.
I'll have to remember that! No pun intended =o)

3. Of course we all know Halloween is in October. Read a scary thriller or a chilling suspense novel,
