June 2017 Challenge: ShoSho’s Birthday Takeover!

It’s ShoSho’s birthday month. She loves being a dictator and making executive decisions! So, here’s her June Takeover Challenge!

*All photos above were taken by ShoSho.
RULES: Choose from the list below, selecting a category more than once, if you desire. Also, there is the Spell-It-Out Option. Or you may do a bit of both!

DURATION:   June 1st - 30th, 2017

LEVELS:
1-2 - Easy
3-5 - Medium
6-9 - Harder
10 or more - Hardest
Categories:

YELLOW BOOK Her favorite color is yellow.
Read a book with yellow cover.
9TO5 She works a 9-5 job(more like 7-3).
Read a book featuring a professional heroine.
CURLY She has naturally curly hair, well curly is a mild word for her hair! Basically she has an Afro!
Read a book where the heroine has curly or unmanageable hair.
DISTANCE She lives far-away from her parents & family.
Read a book where the protagonist is living far-away from home and family.
BAKERY She passes by her favorite bakery every morning; luckily for her
at 6:20 am they are still closed ...otherwise...
Read a book with pastry or bakery on the cover. Or one set in a pastry shop or bakery.
AUSTRALIA She moved to Australia 10 years ago with her husband only a few months after getting married.
Read a book with an Australian character or setting or a huge change in MCs lives.
HEALTH She’s trying to be health-wise and exercise everyday... but failing sometimes.
Read a book with an athletic MC or one who tries to be one.
TECH Her husband thinks the world had been a better place 100 years ago, but ShoSho - being an electronic/computer engineer - can’t think of a world without technology. One of her biggest wishes is to take a sneak peek in to the future just to see the progress in technology and computer science.
Read a futuristic book where the technology has advanced (not a Post Apocalyptic or dystopia) or a Sci-Fi with space-ships and stuff.
BIKINI She loves the beach and heat, and she has plenty of that in Australia.
Read a book with sand, a beach, or a bikini on the cover.
SUMMER Her favorite season is summer.
Read a book set during summer.
CHINESE She has started learning Chinese & the pronunciation is kicking her butt!
Read a book with Asian characters or has an Asian country as the setting.
COFFEE She is addicted to coffee; if you want to make her happy, offer her a cup!
Read a book with a heroine who can't function without coffee. Or one with a cup of coffee on the cover. Or, better yet, read a book with a coffee shop owner as a MC.

Spell-It-Out: Use a word that reminds you of something about June, or choose one of ShoSho's favorite words then spell it out. Read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last name), character (first or last name), that begin with letters that correspond to letters of the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.). Such as:
Yellow, Daffodil, Australia, curly, coffee, sunshine, summer, Cream Puff, Doughnut , Audiobook, ...

Example of Spell-It-Out: - We used books that are coming out in June, something you do NOT have to do.
