Nichole | 1010 comments Hi Sam (AMNreader)!

I've read 3 books so far and have thoroughly enjoyed them all! I'm still hoping to finish at least 1-2 more before the end of the month.

White Hot (Hidden Legacy, #2) by Ilona Andrews - 4 million stars. Okay, I'm a little crazy for IA, don't judge :)

The Opposite of You (Opposites Attract, #1) by Rachel Higginson - 4 stars! I really really enjoyed this! I might have given it 5 stars, except I hate to cook and just couldn't get that excited for all those delicious dishes. Very good book though!

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne - 4 stars! This was adorable!! A funny enemies to lovers story that I'll probably reread :)

Thank you so much!!

Hi Sonja! I tried really hard to find the books you picked for me, but I could only find some. (Which is sad, because I can't wait to read the P&P picks!) I'll wait for the prices to fall on Amazon, for the rest! :)

(TBR) Naughty Boss was super fun to read, and was a much needed break from all the stress in my life! (3 stars)

(New) Of Beast and Beauty was absolutely amazing! Thanks for suggesting this book -- I loved it! :D (4 stars)

(TBR) The Princess Bride I'm currently reading it, and so far, I've enjoyed it. :)

(TBR) Devil in Winter was.... It was good. I liked it. But I think I liked the first book better? (3 stars)

(New) An Assembly Such as This I got this book only a few days back!!!! And I'll get started on it soon enough! :)

I absolutely loved your picks, and even after this month's over, I'll make slow progress on it. Thank you so much, Sonja! <3 :)

I can't wait to read that IA series, so I understand. (Library hang-up!)
I'm so glad you liked them, and incidentally, I love how all the covers have that turquoise.

message 154: by Nichole (new)

Nichole | 1010 comments Ha! I hadn't even noticed that. Well, turquoise is my favorite color so it makes a sort of sense :)

YAAAAY!!! So glad you liked Of Beast and Beauty!!! I sometimes feel this one is hard to recommend because it does take some attention to 'get' the world as Stacey Jay describes it. But boy when you do... Woah!
So I'm glad you loved it!

I agree with Devil in Winter, but I'd highly recommend reading Again the Magic and It Happened One Autumn. Both were my favorites of that whole series!

And I'm totally down for the The Night Circus buddy read if you are!

Sonja (sonjac) | 1364 comments Hey Brett! I just finished Dirty and may I say... WOW that was intense! It never takes me a week to read a book I rate with 5 stars, but this one... I needed to give myself breaks because it was so intense! Never mind the mind-blowing nookie (hello threesome!),
description
the darker topic affected me enough that I needed to step away from the book frequently to live life! It was definitely a good read tho! So thank you for the awesome recommendation!

I'm so glad you liked it!
Yes, I needed a break after reading that book due to the topic, but it is one of my favorites.

I managed to get one more in - The Carpenter's Lady. Maybe for a book written in 1983 it was good, but it doesn't hold up to 2017 expectations...Oh well, another book off my shelf :)
The Carpenter's Lady by Billie Douglass

Thanks :)

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Mary Megan,
I wanted to let you know I read two of your picks and have plans to read more of them, although I couldn't get them all read in June. The two I read were Pick Your Poison Pick Your Poison (A Yellow Rose Mystery, #1) by Leann Sweeney , which was a really good first entry in a mystery series, and The Real Deal The Real Deal by Fern Michaels , which was a fabulous mystery/romance/adventure story that I really loved. That one has been on my TBR stack for a long time, and had I known how very good it is, I would have read it long ago! Thanks for the nudge to get to it, because I really enjoyed it! (I must also admit that I didn't finish the last few pages of it until the wee hours of June 30/July 1, but it still counts as being completed, I think.)

Thanks again for the great picks!
