Dana Gisser (deekgee) | 78 comments I finished my first turn by reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon .

Start Space: 4
Number rolled: 4
Landed on: 8 - Pass the SCHOOL – Read a book that takes place in a school.
Book To Read: I was going to read Never Let Me Go but it seemed to not really take place in the school, and then I was given The Unlikely Hero of Room 13B by a librarian which I'm not really sure counts as taking place in a school either, so I may not count it this and read Before I Fall instead?

Before I Fall probably takes place a lot at her high school. I have not read it yet. It would work!

You can look at these lists. Set at School

Yeah I started it at lunch today actually, Unlikely Hero of Room 13B is a cool book so far too but it's a support group not a school so I didn't feel it fit.

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 907 comments Here are a couple of school-setting books that I've enjoyed.

Thanks Andrea!!

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 907 comments You're welcome. I didn't check the page count on the latter two. They are Children's and YA, respectively.

By the way, have tissues handy if you choose The Healer or This Quiet Sky. Those two always make me bawl buckets of tears. So good!

Ooo I thought you meant literally, like a lot of pages. I was like... quite the opposite. LOL I love the movie! I like gorey things though. Not as much since I got pregnant with my daughter. I'm 11 weeks pp and still having issues with it. Mainly looks and smells. But I think I can read a gorey book.

I never had a problem reading stuff either but right after my second child my mom bought me some books by an author that was doing a signing at a bookstore. The book had a VERY detailed telling of a bad guy skinning someone. I put that book down and shoved it in the closet!

I think it's mom hormones! ;)

Mom hormones... I know them well! LOL I think I'll be able to handle this one. I think it might be mainly songs and stuff. I'm not sure. I'll have to buy it though because I can't find it at the library.

Yeahhhh... I think it might not work out. I think it's SHEET MUSIC... LoL I'll keep looking. I just don't want a sappy romance, girl next door read. I'm getting ready for Halloween and the cold winter. Most people read "warm" books in the winter but I prefer cold. I'm going to finish the Lunar Chronciles, ACOTAR and some of Throne of Glass this winter, just to name a few. LOL But definitely not many romances.

Thanks! :) I mainly read YA, especially fantasy. And I'm not entirely against romance books. I prefer main-stream contemporary when I read them though. I'm not a big fan most of the time. Like Everything, Everything, The Fault in Our Stars, Eliza and Her Monsters....
