Why do you think I love ebooks? You can look up the big words with just a click!

Both of these models are not attractive at all to me.

*whispers lovingly to Leslie* hello book twin

You can deny it all you want...but, you will never convince me you are not my book twin.

Ha! LOL! OK, I'm ready! The Bird and the Sword it is, Ela will be thrilled *giggle*.

now, I have to make my decision about Tessa... this is hard, I have actually clicked on every single one of her books in the list to try and help me make my decision and I'm more confused now than I was to start with!

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments Leslie - okay, nix Heaven & Hell then.., going back & checking out your list!

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments LOL Michelle is using her April's Fools Day option.

"Kidding Leslie...let me pick your real book now"

I took Comfort Food off my TBR after some friends did a buddy read....NOPE JUST FUCK NO

message 358: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Fabi, you are silly! I would never dream of denying you of my book twin title. ;) Are you also not a KA fan but desperatly want to be? I'm afraid they'll take away my romance book lovers card if I don't.

Michelle, don't stress...I'm happy to try whatever you choose from my list.

message 359: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Fabi wrote: "OK, though. Now that makes sense.

I can pick now.

Ela --- rev up your squealing engine

Grey, my pick for you is

*drumroll babatabambatabam*

The Bird and the Sword (The Bird and the Sword, #1) by Amy Harmon"

YES WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? I WAS READY TO JUMP INTO GR AND PRETEND TO BE YOU AND PICK

message 360: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments lol Poor Grey!

Bev, of course I do. That has been an eventually book. That's why I've owned it for like five years now and haven't read it yet. :D

Fabi, that was one of the two I'd have gone with! Though the whole list looks good, you know that and Court of Thorn and Roses would have had me torn.

Yes! That's why I hardly ever mention it. Whenever one of her books is mentioned or released, I just quietly go about my own business. Head down. Ashamed.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments LOLOL Ela. I figured you were on pins and needles.

If you could, I think you'd lock us all in a room and not let us out until we ALL read that one.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments Tessa wrote: "Fabi, that was one of the two I'd have gone with..."

Yup, I knew that. *pats self on back*

Leslie | 2430 comments Book guilt Fabi!... BOOK. GUILT.

The struggle is real my friend.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments omg Ela hahahaha - you can't pick for everyone even though you've been trying since the beginning

so cute and funny! we love books!

message 369: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments *grumbles to self....they don't know what they're missing!*

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments I'm waiting for my pick too Ela. I wish I'd put more sci-fi on my list since Jan is going to pick for me. I know she'd pick an awesome one.

message 371: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Oh and Fabi, I'm still reading Bang and wtf is up with Lorraine the bitch??? I can just feel something coming!

message 372: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments lol That's why it's on there. To eventually read it. Poor Grey is just looking at a huge variety. I think the only thing I missed was dark. Not on purpose, though. Besides, I've no idea if the Jascinda Wilder one gets dark or not... right?

message 373: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments You still can Fabi! Shhh but I added some after my original post since I was doing the same as Grey and have 1 list for pick and faves. So I added some to only pick

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments Ela wrote: "Oh and Fabi, I'm still reading Bang and wtf is up with Lorraine the bitch??? I can just feel something coming!"

I see you've met the bitch ho

message 375: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey, you audible people? It says something about sharing my book, but also something about it being the recipient's first book? Im not sure I understand. Can I just loan it or does it have to be to someome who has never had audibl before?

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments gah! I have two reviews to write and a book to read today. Never taking a Friday night off from book world again. I feel like I'm so behind! lol!!!

I've always wondered about that too bev. I have no idea. It's been years, but I think I remember being able to lend my books out through Audible when I had a membership.

My best guess is that it means you can loan the book and don't worry if you're loaning it out to someone without a membership because their first audible listen is free anyways.

message 380: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok, yeah its confusing.

Ela, do you really want to listen to it? I loved it.
I can try sending it.

Wait, let's think about this, what book? I got excited when you mentioned "listen". I have the app but do I need to purchase something too? Like a membership?

message 382: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) ROFLMAO!!!

message 383: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol. I don't know.

It's confusing.

Nay, stop laughing and help.

message 384: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Grey, you decide yet? :D

message 385: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Hey, I left audible a year ago because it got too damn expensive! I was just looking at my library, and I have a bunch of books that I've never listened to (I don't even remember buying A Court of Thorns and Roses! lol), but I've never heard of lending them, which since I'm not a member now, I'm sure that's a moot point.

message 386: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments OMG, I just saw her issue. She's not read a single book on my list. Though my dark thing, yeah I did put one of those on my list, Feyness. So literally I think I picked something from every genre.

message 387: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments *whispers* Listen to A Court of Thorns and Roses!

message 388: by [deleted user] (new)

message 389: by Robin (new)

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments If you buy the ebook, audible is super discounted. That's how I've been getting them.

message 390: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) I've got at least 15 out of 100 audiobooks in my library that I haven't listened to yet. Mainly UF, PnR and Mystery/Thriller because romance narration usually sucks!

I do SO wish I could lend some of these! Anything by Blake Crouch or Linwood Barclay, I have a bunch of both of theirs, and I have most of The Hollows series--Marguerite Gavin is an awesome narrator! Ooh and besides Dark Places just being an awesome book, it had both a male and a female narrator who both did a great job!

I also have the 2 newest Chicagoland Vamp audiobooks but I can't stand the way the girl does Ethan's voice--makes him sound like Buffy's boyfriend, Biff, at the couuuntry club.

Hey! For those of us who love to listen to audiobooks and who are always looking for great books and great narrators, we should open a thread! I know the main thing I look for that's VERY hard to find is books where the male narrator does ALL the male parts and vice versa, like the Fever books.

message 391: by [deleted user] (new)

So, if I am understanding it then if its your first book, Ela then should be no charge.

message 392: by [deleted user] (new)

Nay, Lin Manuel Miranda was amazing. Seriously. The different emotions he could put in his voice like humor and panic, just great. I started recognizing the different characters' voices.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments oh no!!!! I just realized my mistake. I knew there had to be one, but I was too hungover this morning to figure it out.

I don't have Amy picking for anyone!

Grey, I have you pickin for two. Sorry to disrupt your plans, but I have to give one to Amy.

Stupid stupid me.

message 394: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Renee wrote: "I also have the 2 newest Chicagoland Vamp audiobooks but I can't stand the way the girl does Ethan's voice--makes him sound like Buffy's boyfriend, Biff, at the couuuntry club."

ROFL That's just WRONG!

message 395: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments But then after even if you lend me books I would need to be an audible member, is that right?

message 396: by [deleted user] (new)

And if I send it it is now yours too. And you can send it on to someone ELSE!!! Do you know what this means? Everyone can listen to this book.

Yeah, I know.

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments Sorry Tessa. Sorry Grey. I switched it so that Amy is picking for Tessa since that was the 2nd pick for Grey.

*huff*

I hate making mistakes.

message 398: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Tessa--I know! It kinda takes me out of the storyline!

Bev--thanks! I put that on my Audible wishlist. I'm probably going to re-up my membership later this year if I'm able to start doing some home assembly for a little extra cash. I push these little rings onto these little screws, 4000/box, and then I get $80/box. It'd be impossibly repetitive and boring if I didn't listen to audiobooks while I was doing it!

message 399: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments It's all good. I think Grey is probably relieved.
