Until I was probably about ten or eleven years old I believed my mum was 21 years old (strangely every birthday.......). It took a while for the penny to drop. I was a pretty innocent and unquestioning little girl. If my mum said it, it must be right, right?
Whats with all these newbies being younger?
I dont like it.
I dont like it.
And now putting on my old fuddy duddy mature hat on. No one on here is a whore, ever. Especially though for their age when getting pregnant.
Lol.
No. No ho bags.

My mom was 15 when she had my sister. She's still married to my dad, 52 years later. And he's 10 years older than her. No wonder i read this crazy stuff!

Open mouth... Insert entire leg, no disrespect intended, Michelle! Congratulations to your parents, that sounds, like my husbands gparents who, God rest their souls, married at 16 and 17 had been married for 56 years, and passed away on the same exact day. His gma had lung CA and had been on hospice and had finally passed on, his gpa... Actually passed on of a heart attack 3 hrs before she did.

Michelle wrote: "We are ROCK STARS ladies. We may be cougars, but we are über cool. Our rock band should be called "Wicked Picket Fence" ... greatest hits; "What would Fabi do?"
"The Chorizo Song"
"Nutella love"..."
Lmao! I love it! Can I be on drums? Always wanted to bang
Lisa wrote: "Ela wrote: "Well thank goodness for that! So, how about them cocks???"Huh? Where? We are refined ladies. We say penises!"
Gang Bang or Bang Gang!
Renee wrote: "Ela, Are you liking it??"I am, it's very back and forth...smut for H to regular h feelings and problems...
Gah!!! I go out for one night (in a blue moon) and I have 2 pages to catch up on. And I missed all the fun! Yeah, not going out anymore. More fun to sit at home and chat with you ladies. Name picks coming up! As soon as I get some coffee and Advil. :-/
Pickers posted!Since we have 15 participating, one person gets to pick twice.
Look over your pickee's shelf, select a book you want them to read this month, and add a post letting them know.
Fun!
:-)
Thanks Fabi! So, to make sure I have this correct I am picking for person who's name next to mine (which is Jean) and Michelle is picking for me?
Yay! Checking list now...Yeah, Leslie--I'm waiting for confirmation too. I think I know whose to pick, but I want to make sure.
Jean, this is easey-peasey! My pick for you is Stepbrother Dearest
I LOVED this. Don't let the "stepbrother" part deter you. This isnt a trashy stepbrother book, its a swoony romance.
Paula and I have each other, lol.
The Sky is Everwhere by Jandy Nelson, Paula.
The Sky is Everwhere by Jandy Nelson, Paula.
I dont even remember what I have on my own shelf.
I've only read ONE on your list, Leslie, and that's not what I'd pick for you (Heaven & Hell), so let me research the others!!!
MichelleS, lol. I wondered about that, if we haven't read each other's books. I guess just what looks good.
Michelle wrote: "I've only read ONE on your list, Leslie, and that's not what I'd pick for you (Heaven & Hell), so let me research the others!!!"Why not? Heaven and Hell is awesome?
Here you go, Michelle. Of course, I have to go with one of my all-time faves! An Exaltation of Larks by Suanne Laqueur
I also read Love in Rewind, apparently I gave it 3 stars. And Debt Inheritance is a doozy, and you need to read other books.... so.... I guess Heaven & Hell it is! Ela - I loved H&H, it was during my KA binge. I gave it 5 stars. It's just not my favorite KA!
Leslie, are you a KA fan? And you just haven't read THIS one? Or you've never read any by her?
Ela, click on the 'add book/author' link, and at the very bottom of the search box, tick "add: 'cover'" . When you add the book, it'll be the cover instead of a clicky link.
I don't think I cried, but I don't normally. Some people may have (Robin can tell you).I also loved Heaven and Hell!
Michelle wrote: "RENEE!!!! There better not be crying! OMG. That book scares me!"LOL Michelle! I thought you didn't mind crying books. You sound like me.
oh, and yes, the first name picks for the second name on the listI literally picked names out of a hat (a bowl). That was so much fun. I kept squeeing, XXX picks for YYY! LOL
I wanted to video it for you guys. Pajamas and bed head and all, but then I couldn't figure out how to show you the video. :-(
Maybe we can take turns matching the names every month. That was way too much fun.
I was going to add that we have 5 days to pick. But I think that's totally unnecessary in this crazy group. We're all - now now now
That's hilarious, Fabi! It really doesn't take much to get all of us excited about anything to do with reading, does it? lol
Grey!!! How could you do this to me?! How the hell am I supposed to pick one out of those 20?! Nope, nope. You're just going to have to read all 20 of them THIS MONTH. :/
