I have never understood how the guys say in books that the girl tastes sweet. Um, that seems kinda impossible if he is being literal...
Michelle, when I did those contests for my book to get the "free" feedback, the NUMBER 1 thing I was asked was "what does it smell like" or "what does it taste like?" If I just said "good" I got points deducted. And I did a lot of those! It's probably publishing houses pushing that for whatever reason! I just read a scene I did the other day where I described in obsessive detail the taste of wine and a steak and oh lawd. I think I changed it back to "good!"

Jean, sorry to say I disliked Neighbor Dearest...it was dnf for me!!
I'm always left scratching my head when I LOVE one book by an author than hate another. I know you can't love them ALL, but to go from 5 stars to dnf is extreme. Esp because I loved
as well.

I also really enjoyed Stepbrother Dearest (I'm a big fan of anything forbidden), but besides that, I think Penelope Ward's writing is a little too 'young' for me or something. I'm pretty sure I read Gemini and Jake Undone and thought they were 'meh', and then I started Sins of Sevin but never finished it (I guess that would qualify as a DNF??) That's another group of books I need to mark 'read' and put a rating on. I'll get to all of them eventually--I'm just trying to do a few here and a few there so I don't bombard everyone's update feeds.

OMG, Leslie--if i rated all the books that are sitting in my tbr that I've already read, it would be chaos! There are probably 200 of them because I went for about a year without marking the stuff I'd read on GR. That's why I just mark one here and one there.Now as far as putting books on my tbr, you're right--I take no prisoners! lol One thing I have started doing though is when I find a new series, I'll maybe put the first one or two only on my tbr so that I can read them and then decide if I like the series and want to add the rest later--I'm trying to do that.
**I also love to see what my friends add to their shelves!
