I bet that's absolutely astoundingly gross! Brilliant but I think I'd definitely have wanted to wear gloves. I'm sure you weren't but yeh ... definitely would want to. Mwahahahahrgh!

Cheers

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4845 comments I imagine there is a LOT of stuff the ordinary urban human would consider icky, but which the farmer just does - and doesn't even think about most of the time.

We're too precious any more.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12614 comments Very interesting - I'm trying not to think about what the world will look like when this is over, but I will think more about supporting local businesses (even though I already try) and find if there is anywhere other than co-op that has a collection point for the foodbank

Yeh, it was all a bit of an unknown quantity but it was good fun.

message 985: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I'm glad you got it to work with you. I looked at Periscope and it was so video heavy that it struggled to load
I confess I've never made any joy with twitter and loading video from here wouldn't work.
Watching the number of people who are now doing 'broadcasts' who've never done them before, getting sound quality and volume right appears to be a major thing

Yeh, it’s all hideously complicated at the high end but I reckon I might find a budget way to do my blog ... I’d literally just read out the week’s blog post and if it was link heavy, refer folks to the actual page for links. I can do a reasonable job on that with a microphone and my ipad. I’m lucky in that, where we are, McOther works from home a fair bit and we also have a thing to listen for radio signals in our attic which sends stuff to one of his clients so they pay for us to have the most gargantuan amount of bandwidth available!

That helps.

:-)

It seems I’ll never have a normal existence! I think there are an unusual amount of people in my life who are nuts, in a very lovely way. But nuts nonetheless, so it’s always interesting.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12614 comments Normal is boring and overrated MT! ETA, I've just remembered to read it! I'm another one who is worryingly happy, a friend us going back to work after being furloughed for a month and said she is ready to go back, I'm hoping mine lasts a bit longer! I was wandering round a wood earlier that I never knew existed and it was liberating to not have to think about what time it was or getting back home to do stuff ready for the week. I'm glad of my team chat at 8.30, gives me a reason to get up and plan the day. Am hoping some things stay, another nice thing wandering round is how polite people are.
