What are You Reading Besides a Cozy?

I knew a woman who lost weight and kept it off by reading. When she had the urge to eat outside mealtimes she picked up a book and read. It gave her something to do with her hands and after reading for twenty minutes or so the urge to snack would fade. It was slow but she probably weighed close to 400 pounds when she started and last time I saw her before she moved away she was down to under 200, still gradually taking the weight off, was more active and wearing regular off the rack clothes for the first time I'd ever seen.

You and me both Rebecca!
You and me both Rebecca!

Also read Bunny Lake is Missing by Evelyn Piper. An interesting suspense from the 1950s but it looks a lot of readers preferred the movie. I will have to find a copy.

I've looked at this series a few times, but never actually read any of them. I was always afraid they would be a poor-man's Harry Dresden, a series I love.

I felt that way after reading book 2. But since I'm caught up with Harry Dresden, I am happy to read these.

I usually don't read contemporary true crime but this book is fascinating.

I finished it in early May. Very good book.

I love that series and the that particular book was very good. Definately start from the begining of the series.

Thanks. Sounds like something I might like. I'll take a look.

Crais is a favorite of mine! I'm always current with whatever he's written.

Love that series by Jean Plaidy. The series on Starz with Jeremy Irons play the Pope was very good.

Thank you, it looks like something I can like.

This is a great series. I hadn't read one in some time and read the one that came out late last year. Hadn't missed a beat! Reacher is still Reacher and still does "Reacher-type" things!

Yes! It's probably been 15 years or so since I last read anything in this series so I'm just going back and reading everything. I really love them.

I figure that should keep me busy for a while.
