J.M. Ford (groundedgeek) | 2 comments This is the one we're doing on our blog... hope some folks will have fun with it. It's a unique challenge in which you can simply do it straight (resulting in 52 books) or the "Golf Score challenge" in which you see how many categories you can fit into a single book. Post if you've managed to find the "least amount of books" that combined cover all the categories. Do the challenge your way :)

I am going to try this the Golf Score way, the least number of books. My goal is to read 20 books and see how many categories and I can cover with those 20 books.

Added on January 16: I have covered so many categories with five books that I have changed my strategy - the minimum number of books required to fill 30 categories, since there are some categories that I will not be doing.

Added on February 13: I almost at 30 now. I may do a few more, but am not doing 1) audiobook and 2)New York Times book.

Book 1: Young Fu of the Upper Yangtze by Elizabeth Foreman Lewis
Fits these categories: 1)takes place in a country I don't live in, 2)by an author new to me, 3)written and published before I was born, 4)set in a era before I was born, 5)the title is the main character of the book, 6)three or more words in the title, 7)an actual physical book, 8)an author's debut novel.

amber_reads_romance | 201 comments I'm going to give this one a try. Think I'm going to try to cover as many categories either way.
