Also Matthew Dicks, Monica Dickens, and Michael Thomas - none of which I've read, so can't recommend them, but they're on my TBR list!

Back on subject - I have books 3& 4 of Michael Dobb's Winston Churchill series. So I could continue using books that I own. A shame to not read the beginning of the series but I am familiar with the history so maybe it won't be an issue.
And thank you so much for your help. I very much appreciate it. And the trip down memory lane which was lovely. :)

And some that I can borrow from the local library - even more of a win!!

Well, if you change your mind and don't want to read Michael Dobbs, I also looked at the Aussie Readers' bookshelf and found Maria Tumarkin, Mark Tredinnick, Mel Teshco, Mark Tedeschi, Margaret Tanner, Matthew Tait, and Mark Dapin, Marjorie Mcardell Davey, Marele Day, Marianne Delacourt, Mark Dodd, Michael Duffy, Mary Durack!!
Mary wrote: "Goodness. Is that the Monica Dickens that has been around forever? I followed your links but I knew that she wrote about the horses. I remember her Follyfoot Farm books from my childhood. That link..."
How lovely! And glad we could help :)

Haha! Very easy Marianne :) I go to our members list first to get all the names I can starting with "M" for example. Then I do "add book/author" (here) and type in the M name eg. Marianne and the initial of the surname and then pick from the long drop down box - check them first to see if they are foreign (not in English) and what genre they write. If it seems OK I'll add them to this box then on I go to the next one :)

LOL, thanks, Kathryn, I do read some, but probably not well enough to appreciate a whole book....

From the blurb Jennifer, it sounds like it fits the bill nicely :)

I would think that would be okay but let Brenda have the last word. She will be around later:)

She's definitely Aussie Odette :) Thanks Phrynne. I read that one and loved it, and she had the launch for it in Sydney. A great book in my opinion :)

Thanks, Brenda. Looking forward to reading this book.
