Serial Reader - 2017

Safaa, would you like to join the challenge?

I have been very ill this year. It started in December, and I'm just now starting to recover. I had a very serious migraine that gave me a seizure which ended up affecting my entire nervous system.
This hasn't really been fair to you all, but I am going to try my best to be more available and update more.
I want to say something about this challenge. For those of you who have posted about wanting to join the challenge, but have not posted a goal number, I have not added you to the participants list. Please give me some goal, even if it's only 5 books, because just asking me to count you in doesn't really follow the rules of the challenge.
Also, when you all add your updates, please list the number of books you have completed. Most of you already do this, and thank you so much for doing so. If you have any questions on how to, please don't hesitate to ask.

O no Kadijah, that sounds awful. Hope that you recover soon!

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery! :)

Thinking good thinks for you, hoping you feel well soon, and hoping you get to rest and enjoy some of your own reading. <3

I have just finished the Silo series by Hugh Howey which I would really recommend to anyone who likes dystopia. This means I am now at 13/25 and message 17 has been updated

Thank you so much. Thank God for Audible! It has been a great friend to me so far this year.

Completely agree!

I don't normally continue a series taken over by another writer. The new writer's view point or handling of the characters or writing style or, etc..., usually make enough of a difference to end my enjoyment of the series. A case in point is the Jason Bourne series. Robert Ludlum's books were fantastic, Eric van Lustbader's handling was more like a cookie cutter copy that was just horrible. Don't know why I gave Robert Knott another chance and am rather glad I did.

But I'm really pleased with completing these two series - although I have a massive book hangover now!

I have been trying to read all the missing Hamish Macbeth and Agatha Raisin books, but my library doesn’t have the ones I am missing and they are so short, it hardly seems sensible to get an ILL for them, but I just thought of something. I’m going to Mississippi for 2 weeks and I have a library card for my cousin’s library. Perhaps I could get the books and finish them while on vacation. They usually take under 4 hours of reading and I always allow time for reading, even on a visit. I found 10!!!! So….a new list!
Read in Mississippi:
Agatha Raisin 26 Books: 11/28 - 17 to read (10 in MS - maybe)
1. Agatha Raisin and the Love from Hell #11

I will have to revise my serials list when I get back, but there should not be any problem with reading them over the course of the year.
