Rather than putting dates for each section I've done it so that it takes into account that not everybody will necessarily have the book at the same time.

I read this book in January. I wanted to follow along to remember that book a little bit before I jump into the 3rd one. I liked the 2nd book much more than the first.

Oops! I read book 2 last month after the first one, I just could not wait. None the less am still glad to discuss it this month.

Started this one today and although it's been a year since I read the first I like how easy it's been to fall back into this world.

I read the first book in 2013 (I looked up when I read it). I just read the second one the beginning of this year. I also found it easy to pick back up. I enjoyed the second book more than the first. I'm interested to see how they compare for you as well. I'm looking forward to reading the third book next month. I like the world that she built in the series.

It was definitely easy to fall back into and once things got going a really quick read. I think I did like this one more than the first. I'm excited to read the next one as well. So far, so good!

Hi, Deborah! Folks can chime in whenever they want! One comment will generally lead to another and another so jump right in! Some will wait until they finish the book, others will comment as they make their way through. When something in the book excites you or moves you or makes you think - post!

The important thing to remember is to mark spoilers so that the story isn't revealed to folks who might not be as far along. Let me know if you have any other questions!

So since May is wrapping up I picked up City of Ashes to remember how it ended since we are getting ready to start City of Glass.

(view spoiler)[ I guess in City of Ashes it was left where there is a spell that can wake up her mother. They kind of left a door open where Clary and Jace might not really be related. This I'm excited about because it seems like they should be a couple and live happily ever after - ha ha. Simon can now go out in the daylight because of being resurrected and now is a special vampire. Is anyone routing for Simon and Clary to be a couple? (hide spoiler)]

I've picked up City of Glass to start the first chapter. I like the second book much better than the first and now I have great expectations for the third.
