There should be another read-a-thon in March since we try to stick to a seasonal schedule. I'll post a poll for the date in the next week or so.
As a side note, I have been contemplating doing a 24 in 48 event once in between the read-a-thon. I'm not sure where it originated, but I saw it on Litsy. The goal is just to try to read for 24 hours within a 48-hour period. It seems like some people on Litsy just say 24 hours in a weekend.
It would definitely be lower-key than the read-a-thon, maybe with a hashtag or a way to share photos and then a group clock of some sort.
Any thoughts on this?

I would say the general goal is just to read as much as possible. Few people on litsy actually get to the 24. I think it just has closer time-tracking than a typical read-a-thon

Sounds challenging--but I'd be interested in giving it a try.

It was a really fun idea, but I don’t think it’s been done since 2017.

It’s a shame to hear that. If only there were a less labour intensive way of doing it. It would be awesome to see us dominate the globe again someday.

Happens all the time unfortunately. Usually it corrects itself. Sometimes you end up having to go in and redo your shelf to fix it. Depends on how important it is to you. Mine wasn't showing all of my books the other day on my counter so I went in and checked the dates on my reviews. I needed to add start dates to books that were being added from my kindle and it ended up fixing my count. Good luck :-)

Thanks! I didn't realize it is common. I guess it really doesn't matter. I'll have them recorded on the 2019 ATY page on my blog. And, who knows, maybe it will correct itself! :)

It was pretty cool! You can find the topics in the archives if you’re interested to have a look.

Hooray! I was wondering about it this morning. I guess sign ups for the teams will be posted tonight? I'm so excited!

Is this thread the one you’re looking for? Hope that helps.

If you're referring to the team game (which will be posted shortly), you can count anything that has at least 100 pages remaining once the read-a-thon starts.

thanks that is it
Jen, I have it under week 34, A book with a person's name in the title. It would also work for:
3. A book where the author’s name contains A, T, and Y
41. A book from the 2018 GR Choice Awards
52. A book with a weird or intriguing title
And likely:
1. A book that was nominated for or won an award in a genre you enjoy
21. A book from one of the polarizing or close call votes
There may be others but I haven't read it yet so not totally sure.

It could also fit:
26. 4 books inspired by the wedding rhyme: Book #4 Something Blue (because of the cover)
36. A book featured on an NPR Best Books of the Year list (in 2017)
I enjoyed it so much so I hope you do too!

I will probably slot it in at 36 or 41 since I have done 1, 3 and 52 and have a book lined up for 21 plus my version doesn't have a blue cover so 26 is out.
Too early in the year to be reading books which don't fit a prompt for ATY or PS.

Yes, feel to add any book that counts for the prompt.
Just search for a book on the left, find the book and then choose either 'edit' or 'add to group'
You can choose to add the book to any shelf that fits or that you recommend the book for. We just ask that you keep them all at 'read' and that you add it to the general 'around the year 2019' shelf at the top.
It really is just an alternative way to quickly find books that fit the prompts.

It says: "Current Week: #12 (Tuesday March 26 to Monday April 1)"
But wasn't Week 13 from the 26th - 1st ?
And aren't we now on Week 14?
Shouldn't it be: "Current Week: #14 (Tuesday April 2 to Monday April 8)" ?
Week - Dates
1. 1-7
2. 8-14
3. 15-21

According to the tracker, I'm one book behind... which means I should have had Week 13 read yesterday (I've only read through Week 12). So we would be in Week 14, according to the tracker, with Week 14 ending on Monday, and Week 15 beginning next Tuesday.
(*mildly panicking about being so far behind*)

Yes, I’ll admit I forget to update that frequently 😳
I’ll fix it the next time I’m on a computer.

I am having the same problem as Angela above. The 2019 ATY challenge doesn't appear when I go to the group home. I wanted to write in the "challenge box" as instructed, but it's not there.
