A Suitable Boy is good so far. Good writing. Characters are as real as they can get.

I read till 45% in A Suitable Boy. Its going great. The characters are well written and consistent.

My mother took my phone and was watching TV serials. So I picked up a Telugu book at home and finished it last night. But it is not listed in Goodreads 😭. It is a memoir of an IPS officer who served as Intelligence Chief with N. T. Ramarao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. It's a good book and has a lot of details about the intelligence department and their duties. And also it lays out the journey of NTR from a Telugu Film Superstar to a Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Well written. 3.5/5

Reached 35% in Thousand splendid suns... Liking it so far.. (view spoiler)[The characters are very different from each other... HAte Jalil for giving false hopes to Mariam, Nana for leaving her when she was needed... It was disgusting to see the way the Jalil's family sent off the 15 yr old mariam in marriage to the older guy..!! Rashid was okayish in the beginning, and then he also went to his solitary land tormenting Mariam..

Felt bad for Laila as well for the way she is treated by her mother.. Atleast she has friends and her dad is good..! (hide spoiler)]

Society was beautiful and a little sad.. Hilarious too.. I think I read only one World War book before this.. This is a good one.. Because it was reading letter after letter it was a little too much at times. So had to read in parts

A Monster Calls is morbid 😶 Beautiful but a bit scary too. I felt bad for the kid
