(view spoiler)[ seems the author is too focused on highlighting Draupadi that all other women seems to be either stupid or thoughtless, Dhai ma telling draupadi that It is more important to learn how to subtly snub lesser princesses, and how to intimidate the other wives of her husband. and so on.!! I understand she's not learned, but still ...

Didn't read much yesterday too..
Started Promise of Blood and read 10%. Lots of characters, groups, magic words.. I just understood that Powder Mage is about guns and gun powder..

Regarding Palace of Illusions (view spoiler)[ You will know as you progress deeper that this book not only has Draupadi at the center of the narrative, but also gives fair amount of space to other female characters, especially Kunti. Having said that, this is a completely reimagined and dramatized version of Mahabharata, skewing towards Draupadi. The author took so so so many liberties to make this a more dramatic version, but the good thing is most of them work. Except of course the love angle between Karna and Draupadi. At the end, the story gets almost run down by this story arc between these two people. And as to why everyone is ignoring Draupadi, it's just so because she's the unwanted child. Nobody wanted her.<\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

Read Middlemarch, and finished 4 chapters - 50 pages... The writing and the words used are very different and am getting introduced to lots of new words.. But it's slightly different so many lines need to be read twice.. Going good as of now..

Started and Finished Beard in Mind with manu.. Another romance from Penny Reid, and I liked it... 4 stars

Finished Wait for it - another romance read.. 4 stars...

Started Promise of blood and 20% done.., Full of action and blood and politics... Liking it so far.. The magic world is complex , marked knacked privileged and powder mage.!!!

Started Palace of illusions with buddy and 33% done. some facts are too unbelievable for me. Draupadi using magic to cook brinjal is way too much :-| and I was also bored by the typical Saas-bahu conflicts between Kundi and Draupadi.
And got so irritated by pandava brothers on the treatment of Draupadi.. how can they let their mother treat her like this, Arjun is pathetic..!! And Yudhistra's conversation with King of Draupad about marrying panchaali to 5 men was very irritating to me :-| Liked Sikhandi..

Started Forgotten garden which was Resh's reco and it's very good so far.. :-) 15% done...
