1. New Release: read a book released in either October or November 2016. In case the book is not available for you, you can substitute by choosing any book released in 2016.

2. October and November: read a book that fits at least one of the following options:

ex: Phantom Limbs or Keeping the Moon
b.) has both O & N in author's name
ex: Nicola Yoon or Lauren Oliver
3. Cookie Month (October): Cookies can become addicting once you've had one so read a book that is a sequel (can be any # in series other than 1st book) that is part of a series that you love/don't want to stop reading.
4. Columbus Day (October 10th): read a historical fiction novel of your choice
5. Moldy Cheese Day (October 9th): read a book that has been on your physical TBR or Goodreads TBR for the longest (preferably over a year but this can vary based on your TBR)
6. Halloween (October 31st): read a book that has to do with goblins, monster, demons, the devil, ghosts, etc. OR read a book that has orange and black on the cover
7. National Novel Writing Month - NaNoWriMo (November): read a book that an author wrote during NaNoWriMo (the goal is to write 50K words in the month of November) - Helpful links: Popular Nanowrimo Books AND http://mentalfloss.com/article/53481/... AND http://www.barnesandnoble.com/blog/8-...
8. Book Lovers Day (November 5th): read a book of your choice
9. Take a Hike Day (November 17th): read a book that features an outdoor setting on the cover (forest, beach, river, trees, etc.)
