Buddy Read Invite (Retired)
Quinn, are you interested in joining Whitefire Crossing's buddy read around the end of April ?Anyway, I think about doing a Q&A with Courtney Schafer before/after our buddy read (I guess she might cooperate, she's great). Your thoughts ?

End of April is good for me.
ok then. let's fix it for end of April. can someone make a thread for it please so that more people may join if they see it? I don't know how to. Or if we are supposed to?!
I want to create a new folder for The Shattered Sigil, but I'm not sure I can create a new folder, but only a new topic in an existing folder. It looks like only admins can, right ?
I haven't got a clue. But it may be that only admin. do it. The Dragonbone Chair is also in the stand alone folder even if it is a series. I understand it can be moved later into a separate thread as a series if we continue reading the next books.
Does anyone want to buddy read 'The Hero of Ages' with me? I'm 30% into it and having difficulties finishing it off for some reason.Le me know!
I have already read The Hero of Ages but if you want to read the next 3 in the series starting with The Alloy of Law I'll join you. I've been wanting to read those for a longer time now.

That's a great book, keep reading, great things ahead :)

Great!
You said end of April is good and I wasn't sure if you meant that book or Hope and Red, so I asked :)
As for now, 4 are interested in doing a buddy read for The Whitefire Crossing. Scheduled for end of April (let's say around the 20th. tentative of course). I just need to solve the topic/folder issue that I mentioned above (admins), and I'll talk with Courtney about doing a Q&A with her.
so just to summarize: Whitefire crossing is around 20th April and Six of Crows same end of April, while the Rithmatist is on 20th of March. Did I get it right?

I just finished that one yesterday. I had a hard time finishing it off too.
Laura wrote: "I have already read The Hero of Ages but if you want to read the next 3 in the series starting with The Alloy of Law I'll join you. I've been wanting to read those for a longer time now."I want to read those too. I can start the week of the 19th or anytime after that.
I'd like to read alloy of law as well and can start any time. Been a long time since I've read mistborn!
Hacen wrote: "I'm also interested in reading the next era of mistborn. Do y'all have a date yet for doing it?"Me too.
I talked with Courtney Schafer - we're gonna have a Q&A with her before/after (whatever you choose) our The Whitefire Crossing buddy read:)Now we just need a new folder, and it looks like I can't create one....or should I put it in the stand-alone folder ?
I feel like finishing 'The Hero of Ages' really quickly now to start the 'Alloy of Law' with you people. Shall we set a date? Maybe in two week's time?
Quinn wrote: "I am planning on read Green Ridern on April or May if anyone want to join me"OOH I love that series! I will follow along but probably won't read it since I already have.
Laure wrote: "I feel like finishing 'The Hero of Ages' really quickly now to start the 'Alloy of Law' with you people. Shall we set a date? Maybe in two week's time?"two weeks time is fine for me.
Quinn wrote: "How about May 1 for Green RiderI need someone to set up the series folder for this."
I'm game for Green Rider also :)) but same as Niki, doing Black Prism so May 7 would be better.

I know it's really last minute but I'm planning on starting on Elantris tomorrow but I figured I'd come on here and see if anyone was interested in doing a buddy read. If anyone's interested I can put it off till they're ready. Let me know :)
I'd like to read Elantris. Have been wanting to read it for a very long time also. I'm in for a buddy read.
Laura wrote: "I'd like to read Elantris. Have been wanting to read it for a very long time also. I'm in for a buddy read."Awesome! I'll give it a day or two and see if anyone else is interested. Can you start anytime or is there a date you'd prefer?
anytime. No problem. this month I am not overbooked :)). If no one else wants to read it we could start by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Could someone please set up a thread for Elantris in standalones for Hacen and me? we'd like to start reading it next week.

It is my first time here as well! I would also like a thread being opened for this one, Laura if you don't mind. :)
Two week's time - that's Sunday 26th? Is it ok for you?
Sunday 26 is fine for me but I really haven't got a clue how to make a new thread or if I'm actually supposed to. I'm also still new to the group and don't know all the rules. That is why I have also asked for the thread for Elantris. Does anybody know what we are actually supposed to do now that we have decided to read the books? Who must make the thread and how?
Laura you can open a new thread in a current folder (like stand-alones, for instance) - when you create a new topic choose the Stand-Alones folder.
Laura wrote: "Scott helped me with a thread for Alloy of Law. It is now in the Mistborn folder."Brilliant!
Nimrod wrote: "Laura you can open a new thread in a current folder (like stand-alones, for instance) - when you create a new topic choose the Stand-Alones folder."thank you. Did that just now for Elantris.
I created a new topic in the stand-alone folder, because it looks like only admins can add new folders, and I've got an answer yet, so that's a start.Edit: Scott took care of that issue, so the link will direct you to Shattered Sigil folder, thanks Scott!

Scott was very nice and helped with both my folders for Sanderson and also made the third one for Six of Crows. I think you should ask him directly also. He may not be aware of our chats and new folders.
