Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments We could "Re-get bonus" on #16. I think we've used 1/3 of our "free" bonuses (we really need another word for something -- everything can't be a bonus!). *shrug*

I'll check the TA books but we already know there's nothing for 16D or 16E (unless more new books were added).

Kazen wrote: "Each Wobble team has been granted the right to choose 3 from the following list of bonuses:

1. Free book - Lets you insert a "free book" into any spot in a bonus challenge
2. Re-get Bonus - Lets you remove one of your current bonuses and get a new one
3. Add a Bonus - Temporarily lets you add one bonus to your list
4. Title Twist - Rearrange the words in a title to fit into a title chain
5. Ignore an Article - Allows you to ignore A, An, or The in a title when linking it to a chain
6. Ignore the Caveat - Lets you ignore the requirement for the first book in a title chain
7. Rearrange Page Numbers - Allows you to rearrange the page numbers of one book"

ETA: Could've sworn I refreshed... Great minds think alike? :) Last time I checked, there was nothing that chained on the TA bookshelf, fyi. I know we can do 16A and probably 16B from TA.

16a = Cider House Rules (Tobey McGuire is on the cover, haha)
16b = The Bad Beginning (all the Baudelaire kids are headstrong)

16c = The Muse; it has a typewriter on the cover and I know of 2 different musicians who use typewriters as instruments. I could dig up some audio (maybe video) links....

message 4759: by Kazen (new)

Kazen Ray, I'm going to have to say no to the typewriter - instrument vs. things that can be used as instruments. Any two year old can use pots and pans as instruments but we wouldn't take those either ;)

Somehow you've managed to anger Artemis...I mean how were you supposed to know that bow belonged to someone am I right? She'll call off the hunt if you complete the following, very specific, some might say nearly impossible, tasks.

◈ Read a book with Wolf in the title
◈ Read a book with Ghost(s) in the title
◈ Read a book with Me in the title

It seems really interesting and fun. I love retellings of Jane Austen, so I could do that book as well this week. Let me know and I can get it from the library tonight!

I will keep trudging through the purple book. But once Bethany finishes the centaur book, I will see how far I got. That way we can close the bonus as soon as possible. (Hope that makes sense)!

How many bonuses do we have left?

I'm roughly 20 pages from the end of centaurs, so it won't be long. ;)

Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments Not sure what you mean by this... "bonus" gets used a lot, haha. We have 5 bonus labors we can have open at any time. I'm not sure, but I don't think there's an upper limit on total bonus labors -- they'll just keep generating until the event is over.

TA books allowed we have 66 left but 5 of those are on hold for tasks above.

For the "bonus" that mods posted a couple pages back, I think we have used "Add a bonus" twice?? If I'm remembering right, then we have 2 of those bonuses left plus 5 omni-sack/whatever bonuses we earned previously. Kazen can verify. :)

Lory | 629 comments Gotcha, I wasn't sure if we had a set number of bonuses. If Bethany is almost done, I would recommend using the TA book for purple. It will take me at least a few days to read it and I'm not loving it. This way we can open up another bonus!

There was so much whiplash! Like, some of it was like a less happy Harry Potter book, some of it felt like Catcher in the Rye, and for obvious reasons some of it felt like The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.
