Yeaaa! :)
Caly wrote: "What is the Novel RPG?"Oh! It's a single-player role playing game here on NBRC. Here's the link. The next Wobble event is a multiplayer version. But in the single player game, you just read what you want and do what you want -- there are monsters to fight, weapons to upgrade, and a variety of quests. You can do a quest to build a house, get a horse, get a pet, or many pets! Magic spells just got added so there's a lot of new things to do. :)

...this goes for anyone without a claimed book right now, too! My musician book is going quickly but not that quickly. ;)

also, I'll mark it/post tomorrow morning, I'm off to sleep now. There are no goals anyway so it doesn't matter :D"No problem - let us know when you enter it and I'll get it into the bank proper :)
Bethany wrote: "So I realized that the end of WOBBLE is fast approaching, which made me super sad. Anyone know if NBRC tends to host these kinds of things regularly, or is this sort of a one-time thing? I don't kn..."Don't forget about the last event, Emerge the Victor - it's scheduled to run four weeks and is a team version of the Novel RPG! :)
NBRC does run events like this regularly though, as Ray said, this is the largest and most intricate challenge to date. Normally a group challenge runs for a couple of months, there's a break for everyone to regroup, then another (different) challenge gets underway. But even in the breaks there's a lot to do - Novel RPG, monthly challenges, Books of the Month, and last break they kicked off the Around the World Team Challenge, which is still ongoing. So fear not, another group challenge will follow this one! (I'm sure the mods will want a little break, though ;)

Excellent work!
I'm afraid the book isn't showing up on the spreadsheet... could you make sure that it has the correct "read" date and is on your challenge shelf? Thanks so much :)

Raven/Zuri wrote: "You can read the one with constellation, I also have a blue book"Raven - could you put Scarlet on your challenge shelf an make sure the read date is correct? It won't show up on the spreadsheet until you do. Thanks!
Raven/Zuri wrote: "You can read the one with constellation, I also have a blue book"Could you tell us which book you plan to read, just to make sure it's blue enough? Thanks!
Just my opinion here, but I think we should always try to check the bank before grabbing new tasks. For Bonus 10, there are 3 very blue books in the bank!! And since Raven already has a book to read for a task, using a banked book might get rid of the Bonus 10 faster. From bank:
Once Upon a Time, There Was You = 53.1% blue
Never Never: Part Two (Never Never, #2) = 70.1%
Never Never: Part Three (Never Never, #3) = 98.8% !!!!

BONUS LABOR 11
Hermes has informed Bookules that Classics is having trouble locating one of its most popular editions. Bookules balks because Hermes showed up while he was finally sitting down to a nice little bowl of gruel, as he hadn't eaten in days while he'd been fixing the mess in the library, but the "Please, sir, I want some more" did not go over very well .... Hurry up and help Bookules find his lost pages. Nobody likes cold gruel!
◈ Read a book where there is a housekeeper/maid
◈ Read a book with a character who is an undertaker or works in a funeral home
◈ Read a book where the main character is an orphan
◈ Read a book with a "gang of thieves" in the text
◈ Read a book with a character or author's name is Charles

The mentor in Working Stiff: Two Years, 262 Bodies, and the Making of a Medical Examiner is one Charles Hirsch, huzzah!

For "gang of thieves" google books has these (among others), but these looked okay... not that I want to read any of them...The Grace of Kings

I'm guessing morgue workers aren't quite right either? I read My Life as a White Trash Zombie, which has a side character undertaker, but I'm not sure if the second book has one.
I have started reading
which meets the requirements for:Bonus 9A ◈ Read a book set in England, or
Bonus 11A ◈ Read a book where the main character is an orphan.
So I can claim either of those - whichever you think is the harder task to meet.
I don't have anything with undertakers or funeral directors though :(
I'm finishing up
which works for Bonus 11D ◈ Read a book with a "gang of thieves" in the text"Dear Bridget, I have locked and bolted the doors There is a gang of thieves-"
Bethany wrote: "I'm guessing morgue workers aren't quite right either? The book I read was only about autopsies and never said what happened after the body was released to the families.
