I can read The Iron Daughter (The Iron Fey, #2) by Julie Kagawa for iron in the title next, since Bethany's book was awful."

19c - Anne of Green Gables (if it doesn't work below)

19d,e,f - There are more than 3 Anne of Green Gables books, but if the first 3 count as a trilogy, they are all on the TA shelf. If not, there is #1 & 2 of His Dark Materials trilogy -- maybe someone wants to read #3? Or there's a lot of first in series on there too, we could check for other trilogies. :/

No worries - books are good! Hopefully we can shoehorn it in somewhere. (As long as the shoehorn doesn't have teeth.)

Kazen Bethany wrote: "Bethany wrote: "Lory wrote: "Would any of the Never Never books work for the trilogy?"

Aww, it's too bad Never Never doesn't work - that was probably our best chance at doing the trilogy. Anne of Green Gables is a long series and does not qualify. :/

I'm going to pull captain privilege and use a freebie bonus to replace Bonus 19. We have less than four days left and probably have a better chance with randomness than that thing. ;) Rose also finished her puzzle, so two bonuses incoming!

Athena, ever the champion of heroes, wishes to offer you a boon. But alas, nothing can be given for free. You must complete this task fit for the Goddess of Wisdom. Here's her caveat, it's tricky be warned: the first book must be the third in a series

Read 5 linked books (i.e. Title Relay).

◈ Read 1st Book
◈ Read 2nd Book
◈ Read 3rd Book
◈ Read 4th Book
◈ Read 5th Book

Hera was so upset with Hercules because he killed the Lernaean Hydra you must try to appease her.

◈ Read a book with a constellation on the cover.
◈ Read a book with a blue cover.

message 4877: by Kazen (new)

Kazen Hmmm, it may be better to skip 21 with this little time left and to concentrate on cycling through the other tasks.

Also - maybe we should try to stick to claiming one book at a time (excluding currently claimed books, of course). That way more people can get a chance to read and we have a chance at finishing tasks a little easier, with more people covering them. Off to search the banked books now :)

message 4878: by Kazen (last edited Sep 28, 2016 05:47AM) (new)

No reason to give up something you've already claimed, no worries! It's just that going forward one is probably safer than two. :)

Bety (betyplusbooks) | 211 comments I know we may want to get other goals hammered out first... but I do have an idea for the chain:

Life, the Universe and Everything by Douglas Adams (3rd book in hitchiker's guide)
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon x3
Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer (or anything else staring with everything)

Because of crazy airplane time I can probably do the first, one of the middles, and last. I've got nothing for the other active challenges anyway!

But again, no pressure and definitely no official claims, just a thought and an offer to read a bunch of these.
