When You're Not Reading a Cozy . . .
Started A Farewell to Arms yesterday for another group's monthly read, and am already 3/4 done. And that wasd while also watching an NCIS:LA marathon! Reads much faster than I was expecting.

Finished this today. Good read, though I can honestly say that I was not surprised by the ending.

I am reading The Chalk Man and Free Spirits: The Story of Jack Ruffin and the Underground Railroad. Not sure about Chalk man. Lots of 5 star reviews but I'm not going that route,

Thanks! this series is now on my TBR pile.

Year One by Nora Roberts 5★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show..."
I read this back in September, and, as a rule, I don't care much for Nora Roberts. This sounded just different enough to be something I'd like, so when I got hold of an ARC I read it straight away. LOVED it!
My review for
The Jungle: Oregon Files #8 by Clive Cussler 5★shttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Love Clive Cussler!
I have dozens of Clive Cussler books on my Kindle,
included. Clive Cussler is one of the authors I want to read, but just haven't found the time. I love the action-adventure genre.
I used to buy everyone as it was published so still own quite a few to read. I just stopped reading them a few years ago. This one was on my TBR from July 2011! But they sure are good!
I also have lots of Clive Cusslerbooks. At one time Goodwill had their books color coded and certain colors went on sale for 20 cents each at the end of the week and so I bought them. I have listened to his audios in the car.

I love Clive Cussler. The Fargos and the NUMA files are my favorites. I'm not as big a fan of the Dirk Pitt books. I still read them but Dirk gets on my nerves as a character.
I can join in on the Clive Cussler admiration. I read almost every genre but mysteries, thrillers and adventure books always are my favorites. I read Raise the Titanic! a few months ago.Currently reading Dear Miss Lonely Heart.
What I Love About You by Rachel Gibson 4-StarsHumor, steamy romance and not a drop of angst in the whole book.

Matthew McConaughey As Dirk Pitt Action Figure - Clive Cussler's Sahara MovieA good movie if you have not seen it yet.

An Eye for an Eye by Caroline Fardig 4-StarsI did not see that ending coming.

It is currently on Amazon for $.99. Buy it.
Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy and Dan Brown are about the only male authors I read. Yeah, I know that is soooo sexist, so sue me.
Anita wrote: "Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy and Dan Brown are about the only male authors I read. Yeah, I know that is soooo sexist, so sue me."I read them and Jeffery Deaver, love Lincoln Rhymes & Amelia Sachs (The Bone Collector etc.). Also Martin Cruz Smith (Gorky Park).
Anita wrote: "I read Dan Brown just so I can be preached to by a liberal. But, I do enjoy his inventive plots."I like Dan Brown's books, not just the plots but the locations too.
I have already read Murder Unleashed by Elaine Viets and now I'm reading Tine To Live, Tine To Die by Edith Maxwell!
I've been reading 'One night in Winter' by Simon Sebag Montefiore, which is about a group of schoolchildren accused of plotting against Stalin. It's quite horrific and gripping, but I thought the end - the background to the story is a romance - was a bit weak.

That's the reason I'm waiting for the third in the trilogy before beginning to read them 😉
