Diane Woods I am not the greatest at remembering to log on and actually chat. I'm better at just reading what has already been said, but I'll do my best to change that. You all seem like a lot of fun!

1. favourite book? Why?

mine is Sophie's World i have read this more than 20 times, every time i see something different
KellyJo Wow. Favorite book, don't know if I could narrow it down to just one. How about a favorite series. Cut & Run. I love this series, the way the two main characters are together just pushes all the right buttons for me. It is not easy relationship, both are flawed and work hard to to make work. I have read this series several times and it gets better with every re-read.
Plethora My two recently read favorite books that I recommend to everyone...A Man Called Ove and My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry.

Why....they just have a wonderful quality to them that makes you not want to put it down. Ove was bittersweet, I couldn't help but love him, I'm sure we all know someone like him.
Ray (user2637) One of my favs last year was Beggars in Spain. It's about people being genetically engineered to not need sleep. Wonderfully epic sci-fi. This book (first in a trilogy) takes place over 80+ years & really made me think about the implications of such a split society--where a minority are smarter, live longer, & have 1/3 more time every day.
Diane Woods Favorite book? I have had several over the years. "Where the Heart Is" by Billie Letts is one I can always read again and again. Jackie Collins is an author that I could also read every day. I know she is not really a serious author, but sometimes you just need a fun book to get lost in and take your mind off life for a while. I have read every one of her books at least 9-10 times each over the years. I will also read any book by Stephen King, Dean Koontz or John Saul as well many times over. But, like I've been saying, I've been looking for any new authors or series to be obsessed over!
Kat (wanderfulbooks) I love chatty teams too! Last TT, I signed up with 'dont matter' and got into a not that chatty team. It was ok but I wouldve loved if we got chattier. So this time around I didnt want to leave anything to chance, I went with 'I WANT a chatty team.' Best to be sure... I learn a lot of different stuff with a chatty group. :D
Cait S Favorite book is a tie between my top 2. The Dog Stars and Paper Towns. They couldn't be more different but I couldn't choose between the two for a favorite. They are my children. And I love them.

"Paper Towns" is on my to-read list. I've heard great things about it!

Can I separate this into Favorite Book and Favorite Series? :-)

My most favorite stand-alone is arguably Absolutely, Positively by Jayne Ann Krentz (my most favorite author). I've read it upwards of a dozen times over the years since its release. I love it because the characters are fabulous (Molly is my best friend and I envy her Harry), the plot is fabulous (I love the suspense of it), and the setting is fabulous (it's set in Seattle, home of my heart, and Molly lives on Capitol Hill, where I used to live when I lived there). :-)

My favorite series is the Anita Blake series. Its first book, Guilty Pleasures, is one I've read upwards of 30 times, as I like to read it every time a new book in the series comes out (and there are currently 24 of them), and sometimes in between, just because. I love it for the Urban Fantasy-ness of the first nine books, and for Anita's growth over the less-Urban-Fantasy-more-Paranormal-Suspenseful-Erotice of the later books. :-) Two more of my favorite books in this series are books nine, Obsidian Butterfly (Edward's book! I LOVE Edward), and twenty, Hit List (Edward! Tigers! And set in Western Washington State--Tacoma-Seattle area!).

I love, love, love it. It takes a lot for me to have like out loud reactions to books but I straight up couldn't read that book in public because every other page had me either laughing hysterically or sobbing.

I'm planning on getting quotes from it permanently etched into my flesh sometime soon here.

I like it a lot, but honestly Will Patton could be reading the dictionary and I'd like it! It's definitely good and I think this may be one series I will re-read as a whole someday! I'm giving it 5 stars because I think the writing is just fantastic.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Favourite book huh...well, either Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights for iconic reads but I do enjoy me some heart pounding series eg Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters or Karen M Moning's Fever... not to mention my "guilty pleasure" reads. As you can see I'm a romance gal but I will read anything for the team, LOL.

Hmm...well..hard one... I love Outlander series, but also love An Irish Country Doctor series. And I love Ciji Ware ;)

And I also love The Bookseller series...this is also awesome :)

You can.... though we like to try to keep time zones together and you'd currently be with an Asia/Australia group.
Catherine Wow!!! There are a few books listed here that are on my tbr list!!!
Lisa - (Aussie Girl) I loved the first four Outlander books and still enjoy the later ones I just read them with the mindset of historical fiction more than historical romance these days. I'm a bit on the fence about the TV adaptation... the actress who plays Claire is not how I imagined the character at all.

The FEVER series will always be a guilty pleasure for me :D I been looking for a series that could at least come close to it... but nada. I do adore Kate Daniels though!

Any recommendations here? :D *like my TBR is not overflowing already* lol
Stacey Since we are chatting... To you Fever lovers, I'm really struggling with whether to continue after the crap fest that was the end of book 3. Does it really get better??? I just can't figure out how it progresses from there.

Stacey, keep reading. I am biased though ... for some readers KMM's cliffhangers just don't do it for them. At least the first five book series is finished so it all will come together by the end for you.

Kerri Favorite book? That's like choosing a favorite kid! My all time favorite book, though, is "The Westing Game". I read it when I was younger and fell in love. It's quirky, the main character is a strange girl (which I super identified with as a kid, lol), and the plot twist at the end is awesome. I still re-read that book from time to time and I'm not usually one to re-read. Absolutely love that book!

This is a good book, I just read it for the first time about year and half ago. Guess my small school library didn't have it when I was growing up, because I missed it.

I love that book. I still have a copy from when I was a kid and I re-read it about once a year. Turtle was awesome!

I got teary-eyed reading both A Man Called Ove and My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry. I get weepy as well, also just finished Yossel, April 19, 1943 that did the same.

Kerri Turtle was awesome, indeed! I think that was the first book I read where I so completely identified with a character. Maybe that's why I still love it so much :)

Catherine, how many books are you talking? I passed the 3,000 mark not that long ago (and the 3,500 mark if you add in those books on my "to-reread-and-review" shelf). :-)

(Your shelves are hidden, so I can't see the wonderfulness that is presumably your To-Read shelf.) :-)

I already had My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry on my TBR list, but not A Man Called Ove, so I've added it. And in a wonderful coincidence, my library just got it in!

I'll do that! It's worth it. Sonia got me hooked, I hadn't delved into M/M before. Now I've read a lot, and nothing compares to that series!

Oh if you love M/M anyways then you are definitely missing out and just GOTTA read it during Wobble!! I've read some M/M since and haven't found any that I like as much. Sonia definitely is a big promoter of it, we had a big discussion about it somewhere at one point when I tried it out.
