Le Guin did not disappoint.

Book Dragon 🐉 📚 | 187 comments SECOND QUARTER CHALLENGE: CLEAR THE SHELVES
Duration: April 1 - June 30, 2016
(2/12)
As we move into the second quarter of the year, it's time to clear our shelves! Many of us (myself included) have shelves full of books that we haven't read. In my case, it's my goal to read as many books from my "owned-but-unread" shelf as possible. Others don't buy books, but have to-read lists that are getting out of control.

Either way, pick a goal and try to clear that many books off your shelves!

Feel free to make this your own - you can add extra requirements, like using a random number generator to select books like our randomizer challenge. You could limit the challenge to books you actually own, or tackle the books that have been on your to-read list the longest.

3 Stand Alone Novels - Already Owned
1. A Will and a Way - Nora Roberts A Will And A Way by Nora Roberts
2.

2 Books Finish a Series - 1 Recently Purchased and 1 Already Owned

3.

4 Free Books - Already Owned
1. Submerged - Dani Pettrey -Alaskan Courage Series Submerged (Alaskan Courage, #1) by Dani Pettrey

That's perfectly alright. :) It's everyone's challenge. I'm just hosting.

Welcome to the challenge, Maureen and Kylie.

I have everyone updated. If anything changes or I mixed up a number, let me know. I don't bite, promise. :)

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed a book from my Library E-Books shelf - Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn. Fantastic and fun, though I have to admit it hurt my head to figure out the letters towards the end of the book! While it's funny to think of people idolizing language so much, it's also chilling to see how easily a passion can turn into obsession and idolatry. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just finished a selection from my Library Audiobooks shelf - Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Really quick and entertaining read. While the prose was a bit simplistic, the flip on the fairy tale was interesting. I especially appreciated each book beginning with a section from the fairy tale. The ending left me intrigued enough to continue to the next book. Worth reading if you need to sink into a different world. 3.5 stars

Having watched and loved the movie before reading the book, I'm pleased that the movie mirrored the book in many ways. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Glad you enjoyed Stardust (the movie and the book). I think it helps that Neil Gaiman was involved in the script writing for the movie. I want to reread the book and this challenge might be a good place to do that

Good, I really liked it. I was tossing up whether to rate it 4 or 5 stars. I rated it 4 stars because I'm expecting it to get even better! lol. When I read the rest of the series I will review my rating :) Really enjoying the series so far.

My books grow exponentially. I'll knock off 10 and the next thing I know, there's 20 in their place. I think they're like tribbles (old school Star Trek reference ftw) and just breed.
