Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo! Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week (Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace)
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

so we have to all read a book from one particular shelf, then once we're all finished and have reviewed it, our team will get a stamp...OK...I think I've got it...thanks Suzanne!! =)
Anytime! I looked through the shelves and they are huge, so there is plenty to choose from. I think picking books is one of my favorite parts (but my very favorite is reading them).
I always wanted to be on a #4 team so we could be named Two Squared! I've been saving that, haha. Hasn't happened yet.

I love the name ideas! Anyone want to vote on some? I think I'd vote for Two Squared or I Smell FOURshadowing - but I'd be happy with any of them - they all beat "Team #4"!

Sorry I've been MIA - I flew to Arizona yesterday for vacation!!! still deciding on a book. Aliens is a toughie for me since I'm usually more fantasy than Sci fi!
Also, I literally love every team name that's been suggested. Also, I'd be happy with Suzanne as our captain - unless someone else wants to!

For the aliens shelf:The Lives of Tao by Wesley Chu
Date finished: March 26
Rating: 4 stars
Review: I really liked this one! It was a pretty simplistic story and I'll admit that there wasn't too much tension for much of the novel, but the writing was funny and I liked the characters enough that it didn't matter. Roen, our chubby office worker turned covert agent, was relatable and intelligent. His interactions with Tao, the alien living in his head, were entertaining and the characters had good chemistry. The love interest, Jill, was a little weak but hopefully we will learn more about her in book two.
Overall, I recommend!!

The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey

Rating: 3 stars
Review: This definitely felt like a middle book, and I enjoyed the first in the series better, but I'm glad I read this one. The point of view switches between several characters (mostly all in the same place), and that threw me off at first, but it was ok once I realized each section was from the viewpoint of different person. It had a lot of action, not a lot of character development, and I am interested in reading the third and seeing how all of this turns out.
I'm going to be reading
for the ghosts shelf. I've owned a copy for a while now and never got around to reading it. I might read my Free Space book first, though... Still deciding on that one!
